Lee Si-won’s Personal Life
Lee’s family consists of her parents and one brother. Her father is a businessman and an inventor. Because of his influences, Lee had become interested in inventing something and making a business out of it. In the tvN talkshow Problematic Man, she revealed that her father is the former chairman of Mensa Korea, a group for those with a high IQ. “My father has invented things that are now in use.” She also added, “I helped my father since I was four and now I have 6 patented inventions.” In the same show, she also surprised other cast because she can answer the reason Leonardo Da Vinci’s painting, the Last Supper, was finished in 2 years and 9 months. After she made an appearance on the show, people started digging more information about his educational background. It was revealed that she graduated from Seoul National University (SNU) for a bachelor and master program. Lee started gaining the nickname of “The Brain Actress”. It seems like smart genes run in her family. Her brother also graduated from SNU. In her days as a student, she won first prize and awards in various subjects, such as science and art. Before dreaming of becoming an actress, she used want to be a painter. But, people around her give her advice to make a realistic choice and choose to study business administration. Lee Si-won’s Career
Lee started having an interest in acting after joining her college theater group. In 2012, she made her debut with the drama The Great King with a small role. After learning more about acting, she started to gain roles as a supporting actress in the drama God’s Gift: 14 Days. Most of her works are as supporting roles including her other dramas Miss Cop (2015), My Son In Law’s Woman (2016), and Suits (2017). Even though she only appeared as a supporting actress, she is be able to make her name in the industry. In 2018, Lee is cast in the drama Memories of the Alhambra along with other famous actors, Hyun Bin and Park Shin-hye. In the drama, she acts as Hyun Bin’s first wife and a famous pediatrician. Also, in the same year, she signed an exclusive entertainment with 935 entertainment, home for actor Yeon Jeong-hoon and Namgung Min. Representatives from 935 entertainment said, “Lee will actively in various activities in the future and we will give full support to show her full abilities.”
