During the show, actress Kim Ji-won revealed that she went on a blind date with one of idol group’s members.
Minho and Kim Ji-won Had a Blind Date?
The ‘blind date’ mentioned happened in 2011. Kim Ji-won said that she had cast in Jang Jin’s film Romantic Heaven, which was released on March 24, 2011. The film was about the stories of various people who cross paths in a hospital, and the main cast members were Kim Soo-ro, Kim Dong-wook and Kim Ji-won. The director, Jang Jin, wanted to send Kim Ji-won on a blind date. Kim Ji-won tried to decline the offer, however, after the movie premiered, there was a company dinner and Kim Ji-won ended up having the date. The actress then said that the person she met that blind date was actually in the studio. That news surprised the MCs and the other guests, all of whom started to wonder who she talking about. She then revealed that the man on the blind date was Minho, from SHINee. Minho said that he went the movie premiere, and had wondered who the beautiful girl was, that he was meeting. He later found out that she was none other than actress Kim Ji-won. He said that they saw each other for less than 5 minutes before they separated. A year later, they met again as co-stars in the drama To The Beautiful You. He admitted that it was awkward after the blind date incident. Kim Ji-won responded that she had a schedule to attend right after the premiere, and had no choice but to leave first. When she knew that they would end up as co-stars, she thought that it was fate, because her character in the drama has a one-sided love with SHINee’s Minho. She added that she purposely placed his pictures all over her room. After they cleared up their misunderstanding, Minho told Kim Ji-won that since they were in the same drama, he would be like an older brother and would take good care of her. They ended with a hug. The drama To The Beautiful You has 16 episodes, which aired every Wednesday and Thursday at 21:55 from August 15 – October 4, 2012 in SBS Network.
