She was also cast as a thief in a hit cable drama series, Balas 1988 (2015). Ra has also been praised for her leading role as a North Korean defector in the indie Dance City Jeon Kyu-hwan (2011), with Variety calling it “stunning” and “outstanding performance.” She also played one of three leads in the black-comedy drama Avengers Social Club, which attracted high ratings.
