The truth that will make others flustered – episode 20
In the show’s early days, there’s an episode that Yoo Jae-suk must compete against the other members. Featuring guest star Heechul from Super Junior, this episode is titled 1 vs 8 and there is a segment called Makes Yoo Jae-suk Lie. Yoo Jae-suk was placed in a special chair with a bunch of tools that could detect a lie. The rule of this game was make Yoo Jae-suk lie three times, so the Running Man members could win the game. The first attack question was If there is no me, Yoo Jae-suk, Running Man will not exist? Yoo Jae-suk answered No, with firmness and confidence. Even though everyone was together, they’d never heard his inner feelings before, which make them nervous, as well. The graph that was supposed to illustrate Jae Suk’s sincerity showed that he was telling the truth. The cast members were touched by his answer and hugged him. But the fact remained that they were actually in a battle, so they gave him another attack question. Kim Jong-kook attacked him with a question about his X-man period, but, Yoo Jae-suk blocked Kim Jong-kook’s question by talking about Yoon Eun-hye, which left the commander speechless. Then Heechul attacked him with the question I have a member in Running Man that I want to ged rid of, and Yoo Jae-suk answered that there isn’t. The members were moved again by Jae-suk’s reply, Haha ran toward Yoo Jae-suk and kissed him. While the cast members kept trying to make Yoo Jae-suk lie, Yoo Jae-suk always responded to them by telling the truth, which made the rest of the cast pretty flustered.
Double eyelid Yoo Jae-suk – episode 38
This episode is special because this was the episode that Yoomes Bond was born. The mission was to measure stress level of the cast members, and the member that had higher stress level was defeated. The cast was divided into two teams, which were Yoo Jae-suk with Song Ji-hyo, Lee Kwang-soo and Ji uk-jin, and the other team was Kim Jong-kook, Song Joong-ki, Haha, and Kang Gary. Both teams had to send a member as their representative for doing the test, and the opposing team could do tricks to try to raise other’s stress level. Yoo Jae-suk was chosen as representative by the other team. Kim Jong-kook’s team started their tactics by drawing a line at his eyelids that made him look like he had double eyelids. After that, they drew a line around his lips that looked like a moustache. Feeling that was not enough, Haha made the double-eyelid lines bolder. For the big finish, the members gave him a mirror so he could see his face afterwards, and Yoo Jae-suk screamed when he saw his hilarious face. As result, Yoo Jae-suk’s team lost, and received a penalty for his stress level, which was 113 points.
Prankster to Big Nose Hyungnim – episode 117
This segment was called Gwang Ju Tour Riddle Race. The male members of the team had to carry the female members and run relays, but to win they had to past the finish line within the allotted time. After they pressed a blue button they needed to run around and press the button a second time to stop the timer. The members are getting intense about it, because the faster they finished, the earlier they will get the hint they needed. For the first team, Ji Suk-jin started by carrying Song Ji-hyo and passing her to Chang-ui, who passed her to Kim Jong-kook. But that prankster, Yoo Jae-suk, hid at the back of Big Nose Hyung and suddenly got on Ji Suk-jin’s back and pretended he was Song Ji-hyo. He didn’t expect Ji Suk-jin would fall for his prank, but he kept pretending to be Song Ji-hyo until the first round. The rest of the cast members were all laughing silently by then. When he realized it was Yoo Jae-suk on his back, Ji Suk-jin kicked him angrily. Ji Suk-jin complained that he just thought Song Ji-hyo’s thighs were really strong, and that made Big Nose Hyung’s run meaningless.
