Brave Brothers, the Talented Producer
Kang Dong-chul, or better known as Brave Brothers, is a South Korean rapper, record producer, and songwriter. He used to work for YG Entertainment for four years, from 2004 to 2008, as a producer and composer. After he left YG Entertainment in 2008, Brave Brothers has made a lot of collaborations with many K-Pop artists and established Brave Entertainment as his own record label. Brave Brothers collaborated with Starship Entertainment and produced the debut of several artists under Brave Entertainment. Let’s find out more about Brave Entertainment.
Brave Entertainment Establishment
Brave Entertainment is a South Korean entertainment company. It is established in February 2008 by Brave Brothers and located at Dangyung Building 74-3 Nov Nonhyundong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Brave Entertainment is a private company that has debuted a lot of artists until now.
Brave Entertainment Building
Located around the Gangnam area, Brave Entertainment has a unique concept for the building. It has a luxury concept and is easily recognizable by the Brave Entertainment logo on the building. Inside the building, Brave Entertainment has simple, elegant and cool styles. Brave Brothers decorated his own office with his live-action collection figurines and awards from award ceremonies, also music shows. The Brave Entertainment building once appeared in the 2018 KBS show 2 Days and 1 Night, in episode 725, when Cha Tae-hyun and Hong Kyung-min made a comeback as the duo HONGCHA, along with several members of the show approaching Brave Brothers with a requested for a song for HONGCHA’s comeback.
Artists
Brave Entertainment has many artists under them that work in various fields, such as actors, actress, solo artists, girl groups, and boy bands. Some of the line-up artists from Brave Entertainment have already changed as they have moved to another company. Here are some of the artists who have worked, or are still currently working under Brave Entertainment.
Brave Girls
Brave Girls is a K-Pop girl group formed by Brave Entertainment in 2011. Brave Girls consists of 5 members with an original line-up made of Eunyoung, Seo-a, Yejin, Yoojin, and Hyeran. Because of the line-up changes, Brave Brothers put a hold on Brave Girls due to his work with AOA. Brave Girls’ formation changed into seven members, then back to five members again, introducing a new member, to end up being inactive. Current members of Brave Girls are Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, Yuna and the currently on hiatus, Hayun, who are still active in the present time, but are not really recognized by the public. The group has not made a comeback in 2019, while in 2018 several of the members joined the KBS show The Unit but did not make it to the final line-up of Uni:T. Among the many concepts Brave Girls have tried, “Nowadays” became one of the most unforgettable concepts, which was a masculine concept. Also, the song “Nowadays” is very addictive and catchy.
Big Star
Big Star is a South Korean boy band formed in 2012. The group consists of 5 members, namely Feeldog, Baram, Raehwan, Sunghak, and Jude. Big Star became the first idol group to hold a total of 100 concerts in Japan, in 2014. In 2018, all of the members joined the KBS show The Unit and only Feeldog managed to rank high, namely at the 4th place of the show, and became the leader of UNB.
Samuel
Samuel Kim Arredondo, or better known as Samuel, is a solo artist who actually debuted as a part of a hip-hop duo, 1Punch, in 2015. However, One left the agency and signed up with YG Entertainment causing the duo to suddenly disband. Samuel is a former Pledis Entertainment trainee who is close with SEVENTEEN members, as they used to train together. Samuel participated in Mnet’s Produce 101 season 2 and ranked 18th. Samuel is pursuing a solo career and released his first EP Sixteen on August 2nd, 2018.
Electroboyz
Electroboyz is a hip-hop group that debuted on March 6th, 2010. The members comprising the group are Maboos, 1Kyne, and Chakun. The group was supposed to debut as a rap duo, however, Chakun joined the group as a vocalist for the release of Electroboyz’s second single. The group’s status currently remains unknown. Electroboyz are mostly known for their collaborations with several artists, such as SISTAR, Davichi, NS Yoon Ji, T-ara, Lee Ki-kwang, Kim Yu-na, Jo Sung-mo, and Jjun.
Park Soo-jin
Park Soo-jin is a former member of the girl group Sugar, who is currently active as an actress in a different agency, Keyeast. Park Soo-jin used to be active in both Korea and Japan, with the girl group Sugar and made a debut in Japan as their 2 songs, “Take It Shake It” and “Real Identity,” appeared in the anime Kaleido Star. The group was active from 2001 to 2005.
CHERRSEE
CHERRSEE is the only Japanese girl group consisting of four Japanese girls and one Thai girl. The group’s name comes from the words “cherry seeds.” The group made a debut on May 25th, 2016, with the release of the single “Mystery.” The group is currently active with six members, their latest song is “Piano” and their latest active with mini-album is Melody.

Latest News
Brave Entertainment is currently working on the collaboration with the duo HONGCHA, Hong Kyung-min and Cha Tae-hyun. The duo came back as Brave Entertainment joined their artist Samuel with HONGCHA for a collaboration. They are coming back first on Mnet’s MCountdown on February 21st, 2019, and later on MBC’s Music Core on February 23rd, 2019, with the single “Archive People.”
There are some news circulating, that Brave Brothers will be working on Park Bom’s solo album alongside Dara. Park Bom will come back on March 13th, 2019.
