Gu Family Book is a Drama featuring Lee Seung-Gi and Suzy. The drama was aired by MBC and has 24 episodes. It is of the romantic comedy genre. Lee Seung-gi stars as Choi Kang-Chi and Bae Suzy as Yeo-Wool Dam. The story begins when a Korean noble lady named Yoon Seo-hwa, played by Lee Yeon-hee, is helped by a gumiho called Gu Wol-ryung, played by Choi Jin-Hyuk, from being forced into being a gisaeng (a comforting woman)…Her family is vilified by officials and so punished by the kingdom, but only Seo-hwa survives. Gu Wol-Ryung falls in love with Seo-Hwa. Finally they get married, but Seo-Hwa can still not accept that her husband is gumiho and so leaves Wol-Ryung. She was could not care for the child she has given birth to so he is entrusted to a pastor. It turns out that the priest deliberately throws the baby in the river, only to find Lord Park Mu Sol, played by Uhm Hyo-sup, a kind nobleman. The story continues 20 years later. The abandoned baby became the nobleman’s adopted son, but the nobleman, Park Mu Sol, loved him as his own. The baby grew into a rather naughty but kind-hearted person. He is called Choi Kang-chi, played by Lee Seung-gi. At first he does not realize that he is a descendant of gumiho, and has more power than other humans. This is where Choi Kang-chi’s story begins, when he discovers that he is not fully human and desires to be. In his struggle, Kang-chi discovers that he must find a the Gu Family Book, but its whereabouts are a mystery.
