It later became clear that this wasn’t the main reason for her decision, however. A seven-page letter was found, allegedly written by Jang herself before she died, The letter contains all the reasons for her suicide, explaining what she felt while she was an actress. Jang Ja-yeon’s death occurred a few days before the drama Boys Before Flower came to an end. The contents of her letter detailed that she had been physically and sexually abused in the course of her work as an actress. She listed 31 names of people who are alleged to have carried out the abuse. In her letter, she wrote the news with the main title “artist Jay Eon has entertained 31 men with a total of 100 times”. Jang Ja-yeon gets inappropriate treatment and the culprits were people she knows, including Bang Sang-hoon (Chosun Journal CEO), Bang Myung-hoon (Vice President of Chosun Sports), and producer of the drama series Boys Before Flowers, Jeon Ji-sang. An investigation was conducted, but because there wasn’t enough evidence, the case is closed. In 2010, there were two arrests made, who were representatives of Jang’s agency, Kim and Yoo’s managers. Kim received a prison term of 4 months and 1 year probation, while Yoo was 1 year in prison and 2 years probation.
