According to Park Jin-young, Got7 originated from the best-selling first-generation group g.o.d, as Park was supposed to debut with them as a six-member mix-gender group and used the working name Got6. The final name includes the lucky number seven, meaning “seven lucky people have come together.”Recently, Got7 released their ninth extended play, Spinning Top: Between Security & Insecurity, on May 20th, 2019. Opening Concert In KSPO Dome, Seoul
Opening with “You Are” and “Skyway,” GOT7 caught the audience’s attention with their solo stage and the unit stage filled with strong performances from each of the members. JB and Youngjae performed their solo acts “Ride” and “Gravity” consecutively. On the other side, Mark, BamBam, and Jackson pulled out a masculine aura with their rap performances. Jinyoung and Yugyeom also amused their fans with their solo dance and joint dance routine. The solo stage and unit stage is a GOT7 prepared stage, exclusive for this worldwide tour. It’s for fans who have been waiting for their performances. GOT7 also showed their gratitude to those who attended their concerts, Jinyoung said, “Because we have fans that are with us, we GOT7 will go beyond 5 years, beyond 7 years. We’ve also fought but in the end (we thought) we only have ourselves and we have to go to the end with ahgases.” Youngjae also said, “As long as we (GOT7) do well, this can be forever. I’ve begun thinking and believing in that.”Many idols showed their support for GOT7’s Keep Spinning world tour at the KSPO Dome in Seoul. Among the idols who attended the GOT7 concert were BTOB’s Peniel, Straykids’s Felix, I.N, and Seungmin, 15&’s Park Jimin, B.A.P’s Jongup, Baek A Yeon, and KARD’s Jiwoo.

On June 15th, the first child to attend the Keep Spinning concert in Seoul and have her wish come true was the 17-year-old fan named Karime Sophia Oliva. GOT7 has forged a partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to invite children across the globe who are fighting incurable diseases to attend their concerts. JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom invited children with critical illnesses and their families to join them in their concert.The Make-A-Wish Foundation is currently accepting requests from children with incurable diseases who wish to attend GOT7’s concerts or meet the group. The foundation mission is to grant the wishes of children who are battling critical illnesses such as leukemia, brain tumors, and others.
