Girls’ Generation’s Moments in Running Man 2015
The first edition of Girls’ Generation’s episode in Running Man was episode 254 broadcasted on July 5th, 2015. The theme of this Running Man episode was Game World. Haha and another cast member appeared and were busy playing games. On the other hand, Girls’ Generation members showed up one by one in the make-up room and looked like they were transported into a strange world. They were diminished one by one moving to the imagination world including Taeyeon, Yoona, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon, Tiffany, Sunny, Yuri, and Seohyun. Next, they appeared in a mudflat, or abyss, together with Running Man cast members. They were teamed up to do game challenges on this location. Following are the formations divided by color: Yellow (Gary, Sooyoung, Yoon-ah), Orange (Haha, Yuri, Tiffany), Pink (Jongkook, Seohyun, Taeyeon), Green (Jaesuk, Kwangsoo, Hyoyeon), and Blue (Sukjin, Jihyo, Sunny). Since they were trapped in Game World, the mission in this Running Man episode was coming back to the real world by finishing every stage of the game. This mud game was inspired by the Pac-Man game where each team must overcome every obstacle to finish the line. As the Yellow team chose to be the first team to try out, then Sooyoung from SNSD was whining jokingly that she wants to look good as much as she can. This game was tiring but indeed funny. Every group was using their strategy to pass each phase of the game. Some failed, some succeeded. The poor Taeyeon was tripping on the mud every few tracks when playing this game. Look at her reaction below! Yuri couldn’t hide her laughter when she saw Kwangsoo’s face full of mud. In the end, the Yellow and Orange team took the top two spots. Next game was Wall Tetris; the old video game got a real-life version! What they had to do was grab the block pieces and arrange them on the screen board given. This Wall Tetris was really fun and full of laughing scenes including when Haha and Kwangsoo traded pieces. The Yellow and Orange team were pretty fast to collect the right pieces for their board. The Green had the power to distribute the pieces and they also made some rules about dancing for their requested pieces. The last game in this episode was called Angel Code. The mission of this game was to find four barcodes that were hidden in the building or they had to solve the Angel code in order to escape from the Game World. The challenge was that they had to avoid the Gate Keeper in every floor to not be eliminated from the game. It was a funny scene when Sooyoung was running from the GateKeeper who was actually Minho Shinee, she was lobbying him. Sooyoung persuaded him to let her go because this is her first time on the Running Man show and their family name is also Choi as his family name. Minho swallowed Sooyoung’s trick and released her. Then, Sooyoung was also chased by the Hong Man: this time she negotiated Girls’ Generation’s album, concert tickets for free, and members’ phone numbers. How smart and indeed funny she is! In the end, The Angel Code was on Yoona, which was the reason why no GateKeeper caught her. Yoona scanned the code and the game was finished. Below are some photos uploaded by Hyeyeon on her Instagram during the Angel Code game.
