Like all K-Pop idols, he also has a different birth name from his stage name. Meet DJ H.ONE
Instead of going by Chae Hyungwon on stage, he uses his stage name Hyungwon. He will normally be called Hyungwon or Chae Hyungwon, but that is when he is with Monsta X. At first, Hyungwon started doing DJ-ing as a hobby. Now, he usually DJs while they are on break or a little bit after Monsta X’s comeback. But instead of going by Hyungwon when being a DJ, he goes by H.One. He’s been performing as a DJ starting from early 2017 with KCON 2017 JAPAN.

Collaboration with DJ Jimmy Cash
DJ H.One has succeeded in a series of prestigious events, such as Ultra Korea 2017, KCON 2017 Japan, and the latest is Ultra Korea 2018, held in June, and that’s where he also met Jimmy Clash. Not only that, he is confirmed to be releasing a single with European DJ, Jimmy Clash. This news was also announced directly by the agency, Starship Entertainment on Thursday, July 5th, 2018. Starship Entertainment has confirmed that MONSTA X’s Hyungwon, who also goes by the name DJ H.ONE for his DJ-ing promotions, will release a collaboration track with top European DJ Jimmy Clash. Starship Entertainment, the agency said, “MONSTA X’s Hyungwon will release a special collaboration single with top European DJ Jimmy Clash as H.ONE.” The collaboration piece be out on June 19th, at 6 p.m. KST and you can check out a preview of “My Name” here
Collaboration with DJ Justin Oh
Before he collaborated with Jimmy Clash, he also collaborated with DJ Justin Oh. On September 13th, a teaser was shared via Twitter for the track “Bam! Bam! Bam!” by member Hyungwon (under the DJ name H.One) and DJ Justin Oh, which features Jooheon. And “Bam! Bam! Bam!” is due out on September 22nd. The guys previously performed this song at events, including KCON Japan in May 2017, and you can watch them perform it below this!
DJ H.ONE in Ultra Korea
Global idol MONSTA X‘s Hyungwon is a part of the line-up as DJ H.ONE in the upcoming Ultra Korea Music Festival 2018, held from June 8th to June 10th, for the second time. According to Starship Entertainment on June 5th, Hyungwon will be making an appearance on June 9th, the second day. He will be on stage mashing up K-Pop and EDM music, showing the charms of both music genres. After Hyungwon had a stage collaboration with worldwide renowned DJ and producer, Justin Oh, it received quite a positive response. In addition, Hyungwon had shown off his outstanding DJ-ing skills with Justin Oh once again during KCON 2017 Japan at M! Countdown.
