In 2012, Park Shin-hye was a guest on the tvN variety show Taxi. She denied rumors of having a facelift and claimed that she never had any sort of medical or cosmetic surgical treatments. When MC Kim Gura and Jeon Hyun Moo asked, “Park Shin Hye, have you ever gotten a facelift before?” She replied firmly, “Never.” Then, they prodded her further by asking, “Did you have a couple fix-ups here and there?” To this, she again responded firmly, “No. I have not.” In 2015, Park Shin-hye explained why she insists on natural beauty in her recent interview with a local media outlet. She said, “I don’t think badly of or oppose having plastic surgery. I once seriously thought of it, but I decided to take my appearance as it is. My face is not perfect. Because my nose is not sharp, many people suggested I should get my nose done.” She continued, “[The flaws] make me unique and nobody is perfect. That doesn’t mean that I oppose having plastic surgery.” She also added, “If somebody has too much stress about their appearance, they can overcome their inferiority complex through surgery.”
