Hello Venus’s Latest Comeback
On December 14th, 2016, Fantagio Music announced Hello Venus would make a comeback in the second week of January, 2017. They released a teaser image of all the members’ lips, eyes, and hands, and designated the album’s title in late December, 2016. On January 1st, 2017, the group published a teaser photo, combining all the members’ faces into a single image. Several days later, they released a new teaser, showing footage of the members having fun, practicing, and recording the album. Hello Venus made their long-awaited comeback on January 11th, 2017, with the release of a mini album titled “Mystery of Venus” and music video titled Mysterious. The album was a collaboration with the producing and writing team Devine Channel. The album debuted at #12 on the Gaon Music Chart and sold 3021 copies.
Official Disbandment
Fantagio Music and Hello Venus called an end to their exclusive contract on May 8, 2019. The agency and all the members, Alice, Nara, Lime, Yooyoung, Seouyoung and Yeoreum agreed to support each other in their individual activities and parted on good terms. Alice and Nara chose to leave Fantagio Music, Seoyeong and Yeoreum will remain with the agency, while Yooyeong and Lime would be negotiating contract renewals. Official statement from Fantagio Music: Hello. This is Fantagio Music. First of all, we express sincere gratitude to the fans who have cherished and loved the group Hello Venus for a long time. The exclusive contracts of some members of Hello Venus (Alice, Nara, Lime, Yooyoung, Seoyoung, Yeoreum) with Fantagio Music will expire on May 8, 2019. After much discussion with the members about Hello Venus’s future activities, we came to the agreement to show support for each other in each individual’s desired activities in various areas for the futures of the members. Although the Hello Venus members still have a special relationship, we would like to cheer them on for each other individual paths. Seoyoung and Yeoreum, who joined as Hello Venus members in 2014, will continue activities under our agency, and we are positively discussing with Yooyoung and Lime about contract renewals. Lastly, Alice and Nara made final decisions to [leave] on a positive note to chase their new dreams, and we have decided to respect those decisions. We express our gratitude to the six members of artist Hello Venus, who have always shown their best from their debut until now. In addition, we will cheer on and support the desired individual paths of each of the members, and we will do our best to help so that they can grow in the future. A day after the official disbandment announcement, on April 27, 2019, Nara posted a handwritten letter in her Instagram account about the reason she left the group, saying that she and Alice will start a new path after leaving Fantagio Music and she was currently working on a project. She asked her fans to watch over her and the other members, as well.
Solo Activities
Fantagio Music announced the continuation of their relationship with the remaining four former Hello Venus members; Lime, Yooyoung, Seoyoung and Yeorem. On July 12, 2019, Lime and Yooyoung decided to renew their contracts. All four performers decided to make a fresh start with new stage names, Yooyoung as Lee Hwa Gyeom, Lime as Chae Joo Hwa, Seoyoung as Lee Seo Young and Yeoreum as Yoon a Gyul. After the group’s disbandment, each former member started their own career path, but mainly in the mainstream entertainment industry as drama actresses.
Kwon Na-ra
Nara is the most famous former member of Hello Venus. She played in the female leading role on KBS’s drama “Doctor Prisoner”, which aired from March 20 May 15, 2019. She played as Han Sogeum, a psychiatrist who worked in a hospital and volunteered in a prison. The male leading actor was Namgoong Min, a doctor who was accused of malpractice and worked in a prison to find people for a revenge plan. Nara signed with a new label, A-man Project, in June, 2019. Currently, she models for the cosmetics brand Tony Moly and wireless beauty mask Wells 750. She posted a teaser image on her Instagram account about her current commercial film activities.

Alice
In July 2019, Alice uploaded a poster for her recent involvement in a play called “Load a Bullet Called Youth”. She will play a character called Gyeong Ah. The play will be staged from August 21-25, 2019 at the Dream Art Center, Seoul. Lime (Chae Joo-hwa)
Lime is currently without any entertainment projects. However, she is actively recording and publishing her activities through her YouTube channel. In her Instagram account, she posted a photo of her waiting for a class outside a classroom. Yooyoung (Lee Hwa-gyeom)
Yooyoung appeared in supporting roles in drama series from 2013 to 2109. Currently, she is waiting for the first airing of her recent drama project, titled “When the Devil Calls Your Name”. The drama is about a popular songwriter who is able to write hit songs because he sold his soul to the devil. The drama is due to be released on tvN at July 31st, 2019.

Seoyeong (Lee Seo-yeong)
Seoyeong was cast in the leading role, Sunny, for the musical play titled “Superman of the Moon”. The play will be held at the Dream Art Centre, Seoul from August 30–November 3, 2019. Currently, she performs in the musical play “Singing in the Rain” Season 9. The play is being performed at the Art Theatre Wood and Water, in Jeongno, Seoul.
