Transformation from Wonder Girls into “City Woman”
As we mentioned before, Yu-bin was one of two members who chose to remain with JYP Entertainment and renewed her contract after Wonder Girls disbanded and she is comeback as a solo artist.
Yu-bin as Wonder Girls Member
Yu-bin made her debut as a new member of the Wonder Girls on September 7, 2007. She was introduced as the main rapper of the group, replacing Hyuna. Although she is known mostly as the rapper of the Wonder Girls, Yu-bin occasionally acts as an additional vocalist to the group. Examples of this include the songs “This Time” and “Wishing on a Star”. Aside from performing with the group, she has appeared in several music videos, including labelmate 2PM’s “10 Out of 10” and Shinhwa’s “Once in a Life Time”. On June 24, 2015, it was announced that the Wonder Girls would be making a comeback after a two-year hiatus as a band. On January 26, 2017, it was announced that the Wonder Girls were to disband after their contracts expired.

In April, 2018, Yu-bin announced that she was preparing her first solo album through a Cosmopolitan magazine interview. On May 15 of that same year, JYP Entertainment announced that she had finished filming the music video for the lead single, which was planned to be released alongside her album in early June. Yu-bin’s Appearance in Unpretty Rapstar
On August 17, 2015, Yu-bin was confirmed to be joining Unpretty Rapstar‘s second season. Her popularity exploded and, as a consequence, her makeup and hairstyle became popular in South Korea.
Diet Tips
Yu-bin achieved her ideal body by avoiding irregular meals and exercising, such as jump roping. Yubin is going on a jump rope diet. She admitted that due to last year’s busy schedule, she didn’t have enough time to exercise and ate irregular meals, which caused her to gain a lot of weight. Therefore, to maintain her health and figure, she decided to exercise by jump roping, at least 1000 times daily to get her thin figure back and she recommended a jump rope diet to all her fans.
Dating History and Ideal Type
Yu-bin is single. She is not dating anyone currently. She has had at least relationship in the past, however. In her interview with Nylon, when asked about her ideal type, she replied, “I’d like it if he had the same hobbies as me. I want someone that I can work out with because I don’t want him to be the type that hates moving around. It’d be nice if we understood each other conversationally, as well. Please introduce me to someone like this if you know any!”

There was a list of suspected sponsor celebrities spreading on social media, and apparently, Yu-bin was included on this list. JYP Entertainment is strongly claiming Yu-bin’s innocence, and their willingness to punish the ones who spread the rumors. Any more malicious nonsense will not be tolerated. Yu-bin issued a statement via her agency, JYP Entertainment, calling the rumors “completely false” and vowing to take legal action against those circulating the list. On March 18, JYPE announced “JYP Entertainment is making an official announcement about the recent malicious rumors regarding Wonder Girls Yu-bin. We emphasize that rumors on the web about Yu-bin are far from the truth. As a woman, Yubin is greatly offended, and both her and her family are facing significant struggle from the rumors.”
Yu-bin’s Accident in Running Man
On October 9, a photo was spread throughout online community forums with the title, “An Accident Almost Happened on ‘Running Man‘ Today”. Kim Yu-bin, who was one of the female guests that day, was trying to jump over the jumping board but she fell down and the heavy board was about to fall on her. Instantaneously, the “Running Man” cast members rushed to her aid and held the board to keep it from falling on Yu-bin. In the photo, you can see Yoo Jae Suk, Gary, and Lee Kwang Soo rushing over to the almost-accident scene. It all happened so fast that Lee Kwang Soo and Yoo Jae Suk fell down, trying to hold the jumping board. And here’s the video version more clearly.
