Mamamoo’s Discography
Unlike regular idol groups who usually release a mini-album or digital single when they debut, Mamamoo had three pre-debut songs which were collaborations with other artists. The first song, Don’t Be Happy, which features rapper Bumkey, was released on January 8, 2014. A month later, their collaboration with K.Will and Wheesung Peppermint Chocolate was available on music sites and hit number 11 on the Gaon Digital Chart. Lastly, Mamamoo and Geeks’s collaboration HeeHeeHaHeHo was released in late May.
After introducing the public with their mindblowing vocals and harmonization, Mamamoo made their official debut with their first mini-album Hello. Notably, the music video of the title track, Mr. Ambiguous, includes various cameos by Baek Ji-young, K.Will, Jung Joon-young, CNBLUE’s Jonghyun, Wheesung, and Brand New Music’s CEO Rhymer.
Five months after their debut, Mamamoo released their second mini-album, Piano Man. The title track peaked at number 41 on the Gaon Digital Chart, whereas Mamamoo’s reputation for being a talented rookie girl-group became well established after their performance on Immortal Songs 2.
Slowly, but surely, Mamamoo’s popularity started to soar in 2015 as they released their third mini-album, Pink Funky. The group promoted Ahh Oop!, which was their second collaboration with female singer Esna, and Um Oh Ah Yeh, along with the release of the album in mid-June. After charting in in the top 100, Mamamoo was able to enter the top 10 as Um Oh Ah Yeh reached number three on the Gaon Chart
In 2016, Mamamoo released their first full album, Melting. Prior to their comeback, the girls pre-released I Miss You and 1cm/Taller than You, and the title track, You’re the Best, topped the various music streaming sites. The group also received their first music show win with this song.
After their first full album, Mamamoo released two more mini-albums, with the title tracks Decalcomanie and Yes I Am. Just like the previous releases, these tracks were able to further cement Mamamoo’s position in South Korea’s music industry.

Just like many other idol groups, Mamamoo has been invited to be on many variety shows. One of the programs which Mamamoo often appeared on is Weekly Idol. Aired on MBC Every1, Mamamoo has been the guest cast of Weekly Idol in both 2017 and 2019, where they did lots of games and activities, such as asking the fans’ question, doing Random Play Dance, and many more.
In 2016, Mamamoo joined with GFriend in the idol variety program Showtime. Many idol groups such as Apink, Infinite, SISTAR, and EXO had participated in the previous season. In Showtime, the fans are able to see Mamamoo’s daily activities and missions with GFriend, as well as the interaction between these rising girl-groups.
Two years later, Mamamoo finally has their own show A Lucky Day, which aired on Olleh TV for eight episodes. The show displayed Mamamoo’s fun activities during their vacation.
