He was born in Sanbon and lived there until he was 4 years old. When he was a child, his dream was to be a football player, an action actor, and a chef. Now he wants to travel around the world. He has been a SM Trainee since 2014. He trained for over 3 years after joining SM through their weekly audition. He was introduced as a new member of the SMRookies on April 18, 2017.On January 30, 2018, it was announced that he would debut in NCT. He appeared in Yesung (Super Junior)’s music video for “Paper Umbrella” before he debuted. Some NCTzens knew who he was before he was introduced into SMRookies because he was often seen with NCT members while wearing a mask during their concerts as SMRookies back then. As a private trainee, he rushed to the bus stop to go to the SM practice room as soon as school was over, and told his friends he was going to cooking school. SM Rookies childhood friends Kuhn, Lucas, and him were called “Lucky Three People”. The three of them have been practicing together for a long time. He went to school as early as the 1997-liners because he was born early in 1998. When he was an elementary school student, he got interested in dancing after watching a music broadcast by chance, so he went to a school and learned to audition. It was an incredible night of impressive costumes, as always, and it’s practically a sin not to dress up. Attendee’s costumes ranged from a terrifyingly realistic Pennywise (NCT’s Chenle), to one appearing in a full costume as Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy” (F(x)’s Luna), a lit-up mummy (EXO’s Baekhyun), Voldemort (SHINee’s Key), to an Annabelle (Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon). At the party on October 31th, 2018, NCT’s Jungwoo gained a lot of attention on Twitter for his beautiful transformation. NCT’s Jaehyun cosplayed as Jack, and Jungwoo turned into Rose from the film “Titanic”. Fans just couldn’t get over how pretty Jungwoo was with his Rose costume, he made a beautiful woman, all dolled up in a fancy dress and rosy makeup.

Jungwoo’s Latest News
With the addition of Jungwoo in October, 2018, NCT 127 officially expanded to 10 members for their first full-length album, “Regular-Irregular”, with the lead single “Regular”. The group focused on promotions in America, and, later, NCT 127 released the repackaged edition of Regular-Irregular, titled “Regulate”, with the lead single “Simon Says”. From February until March 2019, NCT 127 will be holding their 1st Japan Tour as follows: at Orix Theatre Osaka, HBG Hall Hiroshima, Honda no Mori Hall Kanazawa, Sapporo Cultural Arts Theater, Fukuoka Sun Palace, NTK Hall Nagoya, and Saitama Super Arena. NCT 127 has announced the release of their first full Japanese album, “Awaken”. The album is set to hit store shelves on April 17, 2019, and will be available in a total of 11 unique versions: two first-press limited editions, and 9 regulars, CD-only, versions of each of the members, including Jungwoo.
