Profile of Roh Ji-hoon
Roh Ji-hoon (노지훈), or spelled Noh Ji-hoon, too, was born in Incheon, South Korea on July 12th, 1990. His blood type is AB, his weight is 74 kg (163 lbs) and his height is 185 cm. Roh Ji-hoon has Cancer as his zodiac. Roh Ji-hoon has an older sister in his family, which makes him the younger sibling. He graduated from Seoul Physical Education School. In 2011, Roh Ji-hoon joined MBC’s Birth of a Great Star and made it to the Top 8. Before joining the contest, Roh Ji-hoon had trained under UFO Entertainment and then released an Original Soundtrack for the drama Anyone Can Love in 2009. After the elimination of the contest, in 2011, he signed a contract with Cube Entertainment and trained for a year and a half before his official debut. On November 6th, 2012, Ron Ji-hoon made his official debut with his 1st mini-album titled The Next Big Thing. And in December 2017, his contract with Cube Entertainment ended and Roh Ji-hoon decided not to renew the contract. Roh Ji-hoon appeared in BTOB’s Eunkwang and Yoo Sung-eun’s “Love Virus” MV, and he is good friends with Ailee and Crayon Pop’s Way. Roh Ji-hoon participated in Idol Star Championship (ISAC) and joined the futsal competition and be the goalkeeper three times, in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Apart from being good at physical activities, he is good at cooking as well.
Roh Ji-hoon’s Pre-debut in Birth of a Great Star
As you know, Roh Ji-hoon joined the MBC show Birth of a Great Star in 2011 and got to the Top 8 on the show. He already got Cube Entertainment’s attention when he was still a contestant in Birth of a Great Star. They said that Roh Ji-hoon has a potential and already grew up his star quality on that show.
The Next Big Thing
Roh Ji-hoon officially made his debut in 2012, with the release of his first mini-album The Next Big Thing. The mini-album opened with a song called “Fly With Me,” which serves as a kind of introduction to the album. And then, the song called “Punishment” as the second song and promotional track on the mini-album. This song is a sexy one. After that, Roh Ji-hoon brings us to his romantic side with the song “Raining” which a sweet ballad and R&B song. The next one is “Maker,” a song that features Hyuna, one that raises our energy levels with its powerful beat and electronic sound. The last but not least is the song called “How Is It” with an upbeat pop-ballad genre. “Punishment” as its promotional track was released on YouTube channel on November 6th, 2012, and the mini-album was released digitally and physically the very next day, and he made his debut performance in MNet’s M! Countdown on November 8th, 2012.

Roh Ji-hoon and Ladies Code’s RiSe
Do you remember the sad and tragic accident that involved one of the popular female K-Pop idols, Ladies Code? In this tragic car accident, two of the five Ladies Code members, EunB and RiSe, lost their lives. RiSe was Roh Ji-hoon’s good friend since they became contestants in Birth of a Great Star. And his song, “September 7th,” is considered to be a tribute to Ladies Code’s RiSe by many who have speculated so. According to allkpop.com, Roh Ji-hoon’s 2nd mini-album titled Feeling was dropped on September 16th, 2015. And this song grabbed people’s attention as it was written and composed by his truly, seemingly for his good friend. The translations of the lyrics are, “…you, whom I can no longer see or touch again, I bring back up. Although I pledge to erase you and erase you, I am unable to easily cast you aside, that’s how we are, but you, whom I can no longer see or touch again, I send away.” “Those memories, that desire, I need to send you away now through those fading memories… Bye, my love, the person I love, now I need to send you back to that place, the happy place. Bye, my love, the person, now come back to me so that we could be happy.” The agency avoided talking in detail about this, but it appears that this really meant to be RiSe’s tribute song from Roh Ji-hoon.
