He tied the knot with Lee Hyo-ri on September 1st, 2013, at their vacation home on Mt. Halla in Jeju Island. They started dating after they collaborated in the same project in July 2011, as they are both members of an animal rights group. In that project, they collaborated on a song that Lee recorded to support animal shelters. Actually, it was revealed that Lee Hyo-ri and Lee Sang-soon almost never started dating, because their first impression of each other was not very pleasant, as they first met on a blind date. As mentioned before, Lee Sang-soon is a guitarist of the Korean band with the name Roller Coaster. Roller Coaster was introduced as an acid jazz band when they appeared on TV around 1999. After that performance, IU, Lee Sang-soon, and Lee Hyo-ri talked a little about IU’s appearance in Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast. The latest news from him is from 2018 when he and his wife sold their house in Sogil-ri, Jeju Island. The couple moved there permanently after tying the knot in 2013. However, since moving in, the couple has appealed time and again to visitors to stop visiting their house and ringing the doorbell to speak to them. In 2016, they reportedly moved out of the house as they could no longer bear the incessant disturbance. However, in 2017, it seems like they moved back to the house, which became the primary filming site for the reality TV show Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast, which sees the singer and her husband playing hosts to Jeju tourists and turning their house into a bed and breakfast facility. After the show aired, Sang-soon posted a message on his Facebook page. The message contains a plea for people to stop treating their house as a tourist attraction, ringing the bell and taking photos and videos of them leaving the house.
