On Saturday, August 25, 2007, Seo Min Jung finally tied the knot with the Korean-American dentist Ahn Sang Hoon. They held the wedding party in the Grand Ballroom of Asem Tower, Samseo Dong. The former prime minister Lee Soo Gyung inaugurated the wedding and singers such as Lee Soo Young, Son Ho Young, and Noel sang the nuptial songs. After the wedding, they planned to move to their new home in New York City where Ahn Sang Hoon lived. Because of that, she decided to retire from public life as an actress. She later gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Ahn Ye Jin in 2008. Here are the recent photos of Seo Min Jung with her husband Ahn Sang Hoon. It looks like they had a birthday party. The Reasons Why She Quit Showbiz
Ever since Seo Min Jung married, she and her husband moved to the States. That is the main reason why she is not able to participate in any television shows. The JTBC show Stranger was her first variety show in 10 years and brought back several celebrities who had left the Korean entertainment scene in order to live overseas due to personal reasons. Stranger was a chance to be back on the screen again, allowing Seo Min Jung to share her innermost thoughts on making the decision to live a quiet married life. “My participation in Stranger will live in my memories forever. Having been able to live the TV life again is something I had longed for. I feel that experience will make me stronger,” said the actress. “I think I will always be a stranger,” she continued, implying that she will always feel like a foreigner in the States. “Now that I have to go back to the airport, I feel so sad about it.
