Oh Kwang-rok’s Profile
Born on the 28th of August 1962, Oh Kwang-rok started acting at the tender age of 20 years old. In 1982, he debuted through the stage play Death of a Salesman. Through the stage play he is able to snag roles in other mainstream medias such as movies and dramas. Not much is known about his private life and family aside from what he has shown on, Oh the KBS variety show 엄마아빠는 외계인 that roughly translates to (My) Mother and Father are Aliens. Oh Kwang-rok reveals a different side of himself through this variety show. the variety shows Oh Kwang-rok navigating through his day to day activities when he is not shooting, such as making kimchi, tending to his garden and cleaning his house. Through this show, he introduces the viewers and his fans to his son that he has not met for over 20 years and is reunited through this variety show. His son, Oh Si-won, briefly visited the set of the variety show and revealed that both of them had not met each other since they were separated while Oh Si-won is still attending kindergarten. The two bonded over everyday activities and rekindled their relationship after being apart for so long. The show definitely portrays a warm and welcoming familial atmosphere.
