Before debuting in SeeYa, Kim Yeonji won awards in various singing and dance talent contests. Eventually, she was scouted by SeeYa’s home agency MBK Entertainment, and trained for more than a year before debuting with SeeYa in 2006. During her days in SeeYa, Kim Yeonji is famous for her wide vocal range and dynamic vocal style, earning her the position of the main vocalist in the group. After the official disbandment of SeeYa, Kim Yeonji was publicly called on by the CEO of MBK Entertainment Kim Kwangsoo to renew her contract.
