Kim Kibum was originally born in Seoul, South Korea on August 21, 1987 so he is currently 30 years old. His family consists of his parents and one younger sister named Kim Sae-hee. He has another relative, a cousin to be exact, who also works in the entertainment industry as an actor and model, Shin Dong-wook. At the mere age of ten, he moved to Los Angeles, California, United States where he attended Santa Monica High School. Several years later, he was discovered by a talent agent from South Korea and then recommended to audition for the Starlight Casting System in 2002. Not long after, he signed under SM Entertainment and became their official trainee. He was trained in areas of singing, acting, dancing, and other performing talents such as hosting and also modeling. Kim Kibum made his first official official appearance and debut on April 21, 2004 when he appeared on a Korean television drama April Kiss. In the following year on February, Kim debuted as part of 12 member rotational project group Super Junior 05 on 6 November 2005 on SBS’s music program Popular Songs and performed heir first single, “TWINS (Knock Out)”. Several months later, the group released their debut album SuperJunior05 (Twins) on 5 December 2005 and debuted at #3 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts. In the following year, SM Entertainment started to recruit new members for the next Super Junior generation. However, there was a change of plans and the company decided to stop forming future Super Junior generations. Following the addition of thirteenth member, Kyuhyun, the group dropped the suffix “05” and became officially credited as Super Junior. In June 2006, the group released re-polished group’s first CD single “U”, which then became their most successful single until the release of “Sorry, Sorry” in March 2009. In the group, Kibum is known for his English rapping skill and he remained one of the lead rappers of Super Junior. As his activities with Super Junior started to take over most of his schedule, he began to appear less and less on Korean dramas. In 2005, he appeared on the romance drama Marrying a Millionaire where he played minor role as young Kim Young-hoon. However, not long after he starred in another drama, Rainbow Romance, where he played the lead actor for 243 episodes along with Kim Heechul. After that, he continuously appeared on television shows, not just a singer and actor but also as a model. He has done a number of advertisements for brands such as KTF, C&C phone, NF Sonata, OLIVE, My Chew, Ottogi Noddle and Elite Uniform with his SM senior BoA. In 2008, he came back to the acting world when he appeared on a daily MBC drama Chunja’s Happy Events alongside Wang Bitna. Two years later, he appeared on the big screen again playing a ghost in Jumunjin that was released on 21 January. Not only is he active in South Korea, but Kim Kibum is also pretty active in the Chinese entertainment industry. In 2013, Kibum starred in a Chinese television drama The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. In the following year, he starred again in another Chinese television drama playing a lead role as Zhu Tianbao in Lucky Tianbao. Recently, in 2017, he appeared in Chinese romance comedy movie My Kitchen Lover. Now he is still active in the entertainment industry working under Y Team Company since his departure from SM Entertainment in 2015.

Attack on the Pin-Up Boys (2007)
The movie was released on 26 July 2007. The story of this movie revolves around the life of high school boys. All of the members of Super Junior appeared in this, except Kyuhyun due to the car accident on 19 April 2007. The soundtrack of the movie was released along with the film’s premiere on 26 July 2007. In the movie, Kibum plays the narrator of the story; a student who investigates the mysterious happenings at school.
Jumunjin (2010)
This movie is romance film released on 21 January 2010. Here Kibum works along with actress Hwang Bo-ra. The movie is about a magical love story involving a man who lives his life like a ghost and a country girl who falls in love with him. For those of you who like melodrama movies, then this movie might be the one for you.
My Kitchen Lover (2017)
This is Kibum’s first Chinese movie. The movie itself was released on August 25, 2017 and directed by Junhao Yu. In this romance comedy movie Kibum plays the main character.
