Yoo Jae-suk and Na Kyung-eun’s First Meeting
The story of Yoo Jae-suk and Na Kyung-eun’s first meeting has been spread since the airing of MBN’s Ah Gung-ee in September 2015. Producer Lee Ki-jin revealed that Yoo Jae-suk always had an interest in Na Kyung-eun, “Before he married, he had said that ideally, he would like to date another announcer. No one really had an idea.” Then, a dinner held for the cast and staff of Infinite Challenge was held. Na Kyung-eun, who had previously worked on the program, approached Yoo Jae-suk first and told him that she was a fan. He was surprised. The staff members around them got the hint and started rooting for them. Yoo Jae-suk liked that Na Kyung-eun was nice, innocent, and smart. He asked her out to dinner because he did not want to lose the chance with her. Eventually, they became a couple in August 2006. Later on, the producer exposed another side of the story, “I heard that it was Na Kyung-eun who asked for Yoo Jae-suk’s number because he is very passive. It was rumored that Na Kyung-eun liked him more than he liked her.” Another episode of Yoo Jae-suk and Na Kyung-eun during their dating days was revealed by entertainer Kim Il-joon on Channel A’s Heard It Through the Grapevine. He said that Yoo Jae-suk once told him about the method of his going out with Na Kyung-eun, “They waited in the car until the movie previews ended and just as the movie started, they sneaked in. They watched the movie sitting at the very last row and became the last people to enter the theater and first ones to leave.” Not only they went on movie dates, Yoo Jae-suk and Na Kyung-eun also often went on driving dates, though she was getting sick of it and said that they would go watch plays or performances once they got married. During her interview on MBC Radio’s Na Kyung-eun’s Chocolate, Na Kyung-eun said that she and Yoo Jae-suk also mainly had phone dates, “Sometimes he would even serenade for me with a song (Sweet Sorrow’s No Matter How I Think About It) on the phone, while the rest of the time he would say touching words, ‘I cannot be your superman, but I am your man,’ which I will never forget and treasure deep in my heart.” On their Christmas date, Yoo Jae-suk also wrote a card to Na Kyung-eun, saying “It is so good to be able for us to welcome Christmas together for the first time,” which convinced her that he was the one for her. Moreover, Yoo Jae-suk was always considerate towards Na Kyung-eun. During their date at a grilled meat restaurant, Yoo Jae-suk did everything for her as he even shook off the water droplets off the lettuce, wrapped the meat, and cooked everything for her. He also told Na Kyung-eun to not watch Infinite Challenge during the special episode of Lee Hyo-ri because he had a loveline with the female singer, “I asked him whether to be jealous or not, then he said that he will not watch the episode either.” When Na Kyung-eun was going to the Antarctic, for the documentary program Never Ending Story, Yoo Jae-suk also sent her off to the airport. She missed her family and Yoo Jae-suk during her stay in the Antarctic. Aww, what a lovely couple!

After dating and knowing each other very closely for almost two years, Yoo Jae-suk and Na Kyung-eun finally tied the knot on July 6th, 2008.
