As we know, Hoody is the only woman who joined AOMG when it was founded by Jay Park. She joined AOMG specifically because of a suggestion from Jay Park himself. “The agency’s environment is very small and free. It kind of feels like a family,” she said. She also revealed why everyone called her Hoody. “I’m in a hoody lot, so Hoody was naturally became my name. I was in a hip hop group in college. Ja Mezz of ‘Show Me the Money’ was a member, andhe said, ‘You should make a rap name too.’ I was wearing a hoody, of course, so I went with Hoody.” That makes perfect sense!
Hoody released her first mini album, On and On, on December 16, 2016. It was available in both CD and digital download format. In making this mini album, Hoody wrote her own songs.
