Unfortunately, in May 2017 he had to take a sudden hiatus while filming his latest movie, Wiretap, due to being diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. His agency and his girlfriend also made statements regarding the issue and Shin Min-ah also stated that she will be accompanying the actor through the treatments.

School 2013
The drama tells the story of Seungri High School, a troublesome school that houses students from the most eligible to the most problematic. Jung In-jae (Jang Na-ra) and Kang Sae-chan (Choi Daniel) are homeroom teachers of the most problematic class of grade 2, Class 2. The two teachers, whose principles are apparently the opposite of each other, manage Seungri High’s toughest class; facing bullies, academic underachievers, and demanding parents, as they help the students overcome their problems. School 2013 shows the different life stories of teachers and students as they grow up through conflicts and compromises. It focuses on portraying the realistic issues, struggles, and dilemmas of today’s youth. Kim Woo-bin plays the role of Park Heung-soo, a delinquent who has been transferring schools far too many times and finally settles at Seungri High where he meets his old nemesis, Go Nam-soon (played by Lee Jong-suk). Throughout the story, the story of the past between the two of them will slowly be revealed.
The Heirs
The series follows a group of rich, privileged high school students as they are about to take over their families’ business empires, overcoming difficulties and growing every step of the way. Kim Tan (Lee Min-ho), a wealthy heir to a large Korean conglomerate called Jeguk Group, was exiled to the U.S. by his brother Kim Won (Choi Jin-hyuk), who tries to take control of the family business. There he meets Cha Eun-sang (Park Shin-hye), who went all the way the U.S. to look for her sister. Despite being engaged to Yoo Rachel (Kim Ji-won), Kim Tan soon falls in love with Eun-sang. In this drama, Kim Woo-bin plays the role of Choi Young-do, Kim Tan’s enemy, who later on also fell in love with Eun-sang. Heated competition follows the two lead male characters to win Eun-sang’s attention.
Uncontrollably Fond
In this drama, Kim Woo-bin plays the lead male character, Shin Joon-young, who was classmates wiith Noh Eul (Bae Suzy), but they were separated during their teenage years due to an ill-fated relationship. They later meet each other in adulthood, and Shin Joon-young is now a top actor-singer while Noh Eul is a documentary producer, and Noh Eul is tasked to film Shin Joon-young’s documentary. Not to give you spoilers, but make sure you have your tissues ready while watching the drama because a little birdie told me that there will be a interesting plot twist in the end of the story!

Friend 2: The Legacy
The movie follows Sung-Hoon (Kim Woo-Bin), who is a gang member and doesn’t have any memories of his real father, and Joon-Seok (Yu Oh-Seong), who has been in prison for almost 17 years and is set for release in the near future. A woman comes to the prison and requests for Joon-Seok to take Sung-Hoon under his wing in prison. When Joon-Seok is released from prison he learns that Eun-Ki (Jung Ho-Bin), who used to be his subordinate, has gotten rid of his men and now dominates the gang which Joon-Seok’s father (Joo Jin-Mo) started. Joon-Seok plots to take back control of his gang and asks Sung-Hoon and his gang members to join in his quest. Later on in the movie, they discover the truth tangling the two of them together. The movie was released in November, 2013. It also got a special screening at the (9th) Osaka Asian Film Festival in March, 2014.
The Con Artists
Ji-Hyeok (Kim Woo-Bin) is an elite safe-cracker and counterfeiter. He works with Koo-In (Ko Chang-Seok), who introduces him to elite hacker Jong-Bae (Lee Hyun-Woo). The story follows the trio when they decide to work together to help President Jo (Kim Young-Chul) steal millions of dollars stored within a Korean customs area in Incheon, South Korea. The movie was released in December, 2014. It was also released in North America on January 9, 2015, followed by limited theatrical runs in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines. The movie was the first Korean production to film in the city of Abu Dhabi, with locations at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Emirates Palace, and the Hilton Capital Grand.

The movie follows Chi-Ho (Kim Woo-Bin), Dong-Woo (Lee Joon-Ho), and Gyung-Jae (Kang Ha-Neul), who have been best friends since high school and are now living their lives being 20 years old. Chi-ho is an unemployed player living in the moment and whose number one priority is dating and chasing women. Dong-Woo hopes to work as a comic artist, but his family’s poor financial situation has Dong-Woo juggling several part-time jobs. Gyung-Jae is a freshman in college who hopes to land a job with a large corporation. The movie was released in March, 2015, and won a total of four awards in the same year, including Best New Actor (for Kang Ha-neul) and Popularity Award (for Kim Woo-bin) in 2015 Korean Film Actors’ Guild Awards. It also appeared at the 2015 (20th) Busan International Film Festival, 2015 (14th) New York Asian Film Festival, and 2015 (10th) Korean Film Festival In Paris for cinema presentation.

The movie is about an intellectual crime investigation team that is working on a massive fraud case involving the company Won Network. Kim Jae-Myung (Gang Dong-Won) is the smart, charismatic, and aggressive leader of the intellectual crime investigation team. President Jin (Lee Byung-Hun) is the president of Won Network, while Park Jang-Goon (Kim Woo-Bin) is the Section Chief of Won Network and also the brain behind Won Network. The movie was released in December, 2016,. It was showcased at the American Film Market held in Santa Monica, California, from November 2-9. It has been sold to 31 countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines and other countries. In 2017, the movie was nominated at the 53rd Baeksang Arts Awards for Best Actor (Lee Byung-hun) and Best New Actor (Woo Do-hwan). According to the Korean Film Council, Master topped the box office charts and became the most-watched movie during the Christmas weekend of 2016 in South Korea. Master ended up as the No. 11 bestselling film for 2016 in Korea.
