There have been several rumors surrounding him related to his dating life. In 2011, he was rumored dating actress Goo Jun Hee, and they were reported to be seeing each other after starring together in a music video for Joo Jon Moo’s remake of Kim Hyeon Sik’s song, ‘Like the Rain and Music’. However, they denied the rumors and claimed that they were nothing but friends and work partners to each other. Other than that, there were rumors of him dating his co-star in ‘Empress Ki’, Ha Ji Won, but this rumor was made by their fans, who shipped them after they successfully captured viewers’ hearts with their tragic love story in this drama. Another piece of news about his love life came to the surface again in 2016, as he was reported to be dating a Chinese actress, Zhang Li, after being spotted together in Japan for a holiday.
