For those of you who like tension and often complain about the problems that come to real life, disaster or survival dramas can be very appealing. Besides being star-studded and having captivating cinematographic effects, action effects mixed with the drama of life are truly exciting and can touch audience’s hearts. This type of drama tells the story of the struggle of a person or group of people to survive from facing an outbreak of disease, virus, accident or natural disaster.
Survival Story of 9 People on a Deserted Island
The drama Missing Nine tells about a girl name Ra Bong-hee, who is the first survivor to be found after an accident with a private plane, Legend Entertainment, that crashed on a remote island. At that time of the accident, it was Bong-hee’s first day of working as a stylist for the artist, Seo Joon-oh. Aside from Joon-oh and Bong-hee, other plane crash victims were the President and some of Legend Entertainment’s artists, who planned to do concerts aboard. Bong-hee was found safe, but unfortunately her state of shock cost her the memories of the four months she spent on the island with eight other people, even though doctors said there was nothing physically wrong with her memory. Then the investigating team tried various way to restore her memories. However, nothing they tried was effective in returning her memories, especially when the team found the corpse of prosecutor Yoon’s sister, Yoon Soon-hee. In order to restore Bong-hee’s memory, she was put in hypnotherapy. During the process, she began to tell what she had experienced with the other survivors, and a surprising memory appeared. She admitted that she murdered Yoon Soon-hee. When everybody was shocked by Bong-hee’s confession, the investigating team learned that they had found another survivor: Hwang Jae-kook, president-director of Legend Entertainment, but an accident sent him into a coma before he made it to Korea. Bong-hee’s memories returned after she was given the opportunity to visit the deserted island where they were stranded, and she remembered that she hadn’t killed Yoon Soon-hee. She told the investigators the details of what happened to him and the other survivors. She remembered Choi Tae-ho killed Yoon Soon-hee. However he wouldn’t acknowledge that, and even turned the facts around, assisted by the new President of Legend Entertainment. Over time, Choi Tae-hee’s vile actions were eventually revealed because the President of Legend Entertainment, Hwang Jae-kook, had recovered from his coma. In addition to the enigmatic scene, there’re also romantic scenes between Joon-oh and Bong-hee. Their relationship isn’t like romantic scenes in general, and their relationship is full of giving attention to each other and sacrifice although each of them expresses it in their own way.
