Lee Min-ho and Park Shin-hye’s Romantic Moments in The Heirs

The Heirs or The Inheritors was airing in 2013 with the actual title He Who Wishes to Wear the Crown, Endures its Weight – The Inheritors (왕관을 쓰려는 자, 그 무게를 견뎌라 – 상속자들). The drama itself was airing on SBS Network and was able to get very high ratings despite airing in the 10 p.m. slot. Using high school as the background, the drama tells the story of a bunch of students who are the inheritors of their family’s business and how they deal with their problems. Kim Tan (played by Lee Min-ho), is the heir of the Jeguk (Empire) Group. But, the problem is that he is the son of an illegitimate mother which makes his brother send him abroad. Meanwhile, Cha Eun-sang (played by Park Shin-hye) is the daughter of the Jeguk Group’s housemaid. She goes abroad to look for her sister. Their unexpected encounter starts their love story. Then, they both come back to Korea and go to the same high school. At the school, Kim Tan gets bullied by Choi Young-do (played by Kim Woo-bin) who is the heir of the Zeus Group. Kim Tan also has a fiance who is attending the same school as him, named Rachel Yoo (played by Kim Ji-won). The three of them get entangled in a love-and-hate relationship. But, Kim Tan finds his heart longing for Cha Eun-sang even though she is also getting bullied at school because of her poor status. Now, Kim Tan is facing a dilemma, whether to continue to fight for his right in his family’s business matter or continue his relationship with Cha Eun-sang. In that time, Kim Tan and Cha Eun-sang build a friendship that then leads to love between them. In one scene, Kim Tan and his friends are attending a party for Rachel Yoo’s birthday. During the celebration, they realize that Cha Eun-sang is doing a part-time job and things start getting awkward when Kim Tan is asked if he knows about this or not. But, as a gentleman, Kim Tan takes a stand for her and asks her to join the party. Here’s the video of the scene.

In another scene, Cha Eun-sang is being forced by Kim Tan to not pick up Choi Young-do’s phone call. When Cha Eun-sang picks up the call, Kim Tan purposefully kisses her lips to stop her. This kiss becomes the hurdle to their love scene and their first kiss scene in the drama. The scene is also famously called “Rooftop Kiss” because the scene takes place at the school’s rooftop. You can see their kiss scene in this video below.

Because they’re in the different hierarchy at the house, Kim Tan and Cha Eun-sang always try hard to not get caught while talking or meeting each other. Other than those scenes, there are many other scenes that are also very cute. Here are some of their heart-fluttering moments from the drama.
