Kim Nam-jin was born in Jeju-do, South Korea. Jeju is called ‘The Hawaii of South Korea’ because of the great nature. From the time he was born until he graduated from High School, Kim spent his life in Jeju. He attended Jeju Jungang Elementary School, Seogwipo Junior High School, and Seogwi High School. After he graduated from High School, Kim continued his studies at Cheonan University in Cheonan-si. He moved from Jeju to Cheonan. He was a piano major and he can play piano really well. Kim Nam-jin has appeared in 10 dramas since his first appearance on a drama in 2003. His first drama was Thousand Years of Love, where he played General Kim Yu-seok/Fujiwara Tatsuji. Kim got his first award because of his acting in this drama. He got a New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards in 2003. In the same year, he took on another project. He appeared on the MBC Drama Merry Go Round as Kang Woo-sub. In 2004, he starred in two MBC dramas.
