Apink‘s Naeun’s Pre-debut and Childhood
Son Naeun was born on February 10, 1994 in Seoul, South Korea. She has a younger sister called Son Saeun. She first studied at the Chungdam High School, a public high school located in Apgujeong-dong Gangnam-gu Seoul, South Korea. Thereafter, she transferred to the arts high school in Gung-dong, Guro-gu Seoul, School of Performing Arts Seoul and completed her graduation from there on February 7, 2013. After that, she enrolled at the Buddhist-based, private, co-educational Dongguk University in 2013, where she enrolled in the Department of Theatre and Film as an acting major.
Debut with Apink in 2011
The girl-group Apink was formed in 2011 under Plan A Entertainment (A Cube Entertainment). Naeun was selected as the first trainee for Apink. Prior to her debut in Apink, she featured in a few music videos by the South Korean boy-band Beast (now known as Highlight) for the songs “Breath”, “I Like You the Best”, and “Beautiful”. On April 19, 2011, Apink’s official debut was followed by the release of their first mini album, titled “Seven Springs of Apink“, including the music video for the EP’s title track “I Don’t Know”. The girls continued to promote their album by giving a live performance on Mnet’s M Countdown in April. Later that same year, Apink won their first music show on Mnet’s M Countdown, with their single “My My,” which won the hearts of many with the catchy melody.

Aside from showing her talent in music, Naeun also thrived in making her presence known in the world of acting. She first appeared in a cameo role, as Lee Tae-eun in the 4th episode of the South Korean sitcom “Salamander Guru and The Shadows,” that aired on SBS for 10 episodes from January 27, 2012, to March 30, 2012.She was then cast as the teenager Hae-in in the South Korean historical TV Series “The Great Seer,” that had Lee Yoon-ji, Kim So-yeon, Ji Jin-hee, Ji Sung and Song Chang-eui in the starring roles. Naeun did another debut, but not as an idol. She made her debut on the big screen with the Jeong Tong-ki in the comedy flick “Marrying the Mafia 5: Return of The Family,” that was released on December 19, 2012. She looks so young and cute!

In 2013, Naeun started to move into more mature roles. She paired up with SHINee’s Lee Tae-min by featuring in the South Korean reality-variety show “We Got Married,” from episode 167. In the show, celebrities were paired up to show how their lives would have been as married couples.Here is Naeun’s fresh and young appearance on the TV show Idol Athletics, which gathers stars to do any kind of sports. Na-eun Apink in 2014
In 2014, Naeun continued to star in MBC’s “We Got Married” with Taemin as a virtual married couple, for which she won the “Star of the Year” award at the MBC Entertainment Awards. In the same year, she, along with Yoona and Park Ha-sun from the South Korean girl group SNSD, were selected as ambassadors for the university she used to attend, Dongguk University. The series aired on TvN for 16 episodes every Friday and Saturday from August 28, 2015 to October 17, 2015. Naeun plays the role of Oh Hye-mi in the series. In 2016, Na-eun featured as Park Hye-ji in the South Korean romantic comedy “Cinderella and Four Knights.” The series, based on a novel published in 2011 by Lee Min-young bearing same title, was broadcast on TvN network every Friday and Saturday, from August 12, 2016 to October 1, 2016 with 16 episodes.Here’s Naeun’s bare face!
