After making his debuted, Zion.T has always worn his sunglasses on. He once explained the reason behind it. He said that it was hard for him to see people directly in their eyes which is why he kept putting on his sunglasses. This was ascribed to his shy personality. In one occasion, Zion.T once again talked about his sunglasses. When he made a guest appearance in the SBS Power’s FM Afternoon Escape with Cultwo, he said that normally Korean idols were wearing sunglasses to disguised themselves when they go out in public, or to avoid to be recognized by people in public, but he was the direct opposite from that. Zion.T said that when he wears his sunglasses in public, it is exactly because of the sunglasses that he is recognized by people easily, and immediately gets mobbed around by people. But if he doesn’t wear the sunglasses, people might not know him, and they’ll think that it is not him and walk away. Other than that, when Zion.T was asked to take off his sunglasses; he refused it. He said that taking off his glasses was like taking off his pants, so he won’t do that, and just slightly lowered his sunglasses. It would seem that sunglasses are the other half of Zion.T, right? This has been proven by his EP titled “oo” where he chose that title because of his sunglasses. But, Zion.T once made a promise to his fans during his showcase, that he will take off his sunglasses if his song got to number 1. And when that happened, Zion.T kept his promise. As you can see, in December 2017, Zion.T didn’t wear his sunglasses when he attended the SBS Power FM’s Afternoon Escape with Cultwo.
