2NE1 became first known by appearing in an advertisement song featuring Bigbang “Lollipop” which was released on March 2009; “Lollipop” succeeded at being in top rank of Mnet for 4 weeks. 8. 2NE1 – Go Away
“Go Away” was praised as it brought up a story line for the music video, telling a story about a girl who broke up with her boyfriend who is a car-racer. In the music video, CL showed her acting skill, especially when she teared up during the last minute of her race with her ex-boyfriend. The climax was breathtaking as CL’s car bumped her ex boyfriend’s car and exploded. The music video then led to 2NE1 winning the MYX Music Awards 2011 “Favorite K-pop Video Award”. 2NE1 also re-released “Go Away” in Japanese with “It Hurts” for its Japanese title.
