Some Korean artist’s agencies have policies that forbid their artists dating anyone until a certain age or for some reason. Does SM entertainment forbid her to have a boyfriend? Lee Yeon-hee responded the question at SBS Radio Star, “The company allows us to date, but they tell us to not to be discovered.” When she was asked about her opinion on publicized relationships like that of Yoona and Lee Seung-gi, she answered that she is okay with it, and added how the trend is changing and fans are more accepting these days. MC Kyu-hyun, her fellow label mate, commented “It is because Lee Yoeon-hee is currently not dating,” to which she replied, “How do you know?” informally. Don’t worry, it’s not that she never dated anyone. In an interview with Joynews24 in 2015, she said “I think I managed it well,” she added, “I have consistently been in romantic relationships.” She also explained that she meets her acquaintances in her free time, drinks, and enjoys normal, small daily pleasures through exercise or travel. Romance also seems to be part of her normal life. Recently she even uttered her wish to tie the knot. She appeared on JTBC Let’s Eat Dinner Together, which aired on October 18, 2017. She stated, “I’m looking for a partner because I’m at the right age to get married now.” Describing her ideal type, she wishes to marry someone with whom she can talk to easily and who shares her interests.
