Yoon Sang-hyun’s Personal Life
Yoon Sang-hyun married singer and songwriter, MayBee (Kim Eun-ji) on February 8th, 2015, at the Seoul’s Walkerhill Hotel. It was quite fast since the couple met in April 2014. Yoon Sang-hyun revealed his reason at the MBC Section TV Entertainment Relay. He shared that he didn’t want to waste the time and didn’t want her to be stolen from him. To celebrate the wedding, the couple released a song prior to their wedding. What a romantic love story! The song was written by MayBee and sung by both of them, titled Balsam Colors. A portion of the profits of the single went to unprivileged groups of society. The couple’s first daughter, Yoon Na-gyeom was born in December 2015, while their second daughter, Yoon Na-eun was born in May 2017.
Yoon Sang-hyun’s Career
Yoon Sang-hyun made his debut at the age of 32, in 2005. His first drama is Marrying the Millionaire. The director picked him because of his eyes and his inexperience in acting, which in fact made him act more naturally. After his debut, he appeared in several dramas until finally making his name known with Queen of Housewives, in 2009, where he acted as an immature chaebol, Heo Tae-joon or Taebong that even caused a Taebong Syndrome. After that, he got to play in many popular dramas, such as Secret Garden and I Can Hear Your Voice. Even though it seems that he has a smooth sailing career, he had quite a difficult time when he was filming Marry a Millionaire. He shared how he cried in the bathroom one day during filming. He felt frustrated when he had memorized the script but his mind went blank every time he went on set. Some scenes that should take 20 to 30 minutes took 2 to 3 hours because of him. After shooting three episodes, he thought that there was no way he could be an actor and he even talked to his agency. In the end, he decided to just hang in there until the contract was up, and then leave, but he changed his mind while filming Winter Bird, two years later, where he started to enjoy his work as an actor. Yoon Sang-hyun also dreamed of becoming a singer. He has sung many OST tracks, singles, and even recorded albums himself.
