WayV’s Members Profile and Facts
NCT’s China unit, WayV, is reported to be making their debut under China’s local management, Label V, but still under the production of SM Entertainment. The unit, itself, has seven members, and four of them have already debuted under NCT before: Kun, Winwin, Ten, and Lucas. Meanwhile, the group has added three more members from SMRookies: Xiaojun, YangYang, and Hendery. They are now living in WayV’s dorm. Let’s check out more info about them! Full Name: Qian Kun Stage Name: Kun Birth Date: January 1, 1996 Blood Type: B Height: 176 cm Weight: 60 kg Kun is the oldest member in WayV, and comes from Fujian, China. He has been training under SM Entertainment since July, 2015. Before debuting together with the other members of WayV, he technically made his visual debut under NCT 2018, and he featured as a vocalist in the Chinese version of Without You, an NCT U song, in 2016. He hasn’t been included in either NCT 127 or NCT Dream, so it was rather hard to see him in television program. He’s been included on the TV shows NCT Life in Seoul and Weekly Idol, where NCT 2018 came as guests. Full Name: Dong Si Cheng Stage Name: Winwin Birth Date: October 28, 1997 Blood Type: B Height: 178 cm Weight: 60 kg Winwin a WayV member who joined SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2015. He officially made his first debut as part of NCT 127 in 2016, with a song titled Fire Truck, together with NCT’s Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Yuta, Taeil, and Haechan. He was also featured on one of NCT U’s songs, titled Boss. Despite his being one of the members of NCT’s main unit, NCT 127, his fans often complained that he doesn’t get enough screen time or vocal time. Let’s hope that he will get more lines in WayV! Full Name: Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul/Li Yong Qin Stage Name: Ten Birth Date: February 27, 1996 Blood Type: A Height: 170 cm Weight: 59 kg Ten was born in Bangkok, Thailand, but he’s also of Chinese descent and goes by his Chinese name, Li Yong Qin. He became a trainee under SM Entertainment through a global audition in 2013. He first debuted under NCT U in 2016, with a song titled The 7th Sense, together with NCT’s Taeyong, Mark, Doyoung, and Jaehyun. He released another song under NCT U, titled Baby Don’t Stop, this time as half of a duo with NCT’s Taeyong. Besides his activities with NCT, he’s released solo music in both Korean and English. He’s also known as the best dancer in NCT, which led to him joining the television program Hit The Stage to compete with other artists with his dance performance. Full Name: Wong Yuk Hei/Huang Xu Xi Stage Name: Lucas Birth Date: January 25, 1999 Blood Type: O Height: 183 cm Weight: 65 kg Lucas just joined WayV recently, as he first made his debut with NCT U in 2018 by featuring in one of their songs, titled Boss. He’s of mixed Chinese and Thai descent. Before debuting in NCT, he appeared in Ten’s music video for his solo song, Dream in a Dream. Even though his age should have enabled him to debut or start doing activities under NCT Dream, he didn’t join the unit in the end. In 2018, he made his debut as a model by walking the runway for the Korean fashion house Kye during Seoul Fashion Week. Not only that, he’s also got a knack for variety shows, and has been showing up in a few programs, including Knowing Brother, where he showed up with g.o.d’s Park Joon-hyung, Got7’s Bambam, and (G)-idle’s Yuqi as a guest. Hiis father and brother are also involved in the music industry. He was first introduced as SMRookies in July, 2018. He is a talented man who plays various instruments, such as ukulele, piano, guitar, and drums. There was also a time where he participated in a Chinese survival show titled X-Fire, and showed his music skills to astonish the viewers. Full Name: Liu Yangyang Stage Name: YangYang Birth Date: October 10, 2000 Blood Type: O Height: N/A Weight: N/A YangYang is the youngest member of WayV. He’s from Dusseldorf, Germany, but is of Chinese descent. He can speak a whole range of languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, German, Korean, and English. He graduated from SMRookies together with his fellow WayV members, Xiaojun and Hendery. Full Name: Wong Kunhang/Huang Guanheng Stage Name: Hendery Birth Date: September 28, 1999 Blood Type: O Height: N/A Weight: N/A Hendery was born in Macau, and was introduced as part of SMRookies in 2018, together with Xiaojun and YangYang. He has an older sister, and had a dream to build a big machine when he was a kid. He loves to listen to music while walking, and also has a habit of dancing while walking.
