This boy band debuted on August 25th, 2016, with their single “Chewing Gum” with a lineup of seven members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. Mark will graduate from the group on December 31th, 2018. SM Entertainment Released a Teaser And NCT Dream’s Comeback Schedule Some time ago, SM Entertainment revealed information about NCT Dream’s and NCT 127’s comeback to the scene. The agency that also oversees EXO, also revealed that NCT China unit will also debut (the group’s name is still uncertain). Not long after, SM Entertainment finally released details about NCT Dream’s comeback album. The boy band fronted by Mark Lee CS will greet fans with the second mini-album titled We Go Up that will contain six songs. NCT Dream will later promote with the title song “We Go Up.” The song is an urban hip-hop track that shows NCT Dream’s passion towards the next stage. In addition to the album details, SM Entertainment also released a first band teaser where Jisung CS could be seen carrying costumes in a white-based theme. NCT Dream is scheduled to make an official comeback on September 3rd. Meanwhile, SM Entertainment also revealed their artists’ comeback timelines. The comeback schedules start with Super Junior D & E Unit (August 16th), NCT Dream (September 3rd), Girls’ Generation’s new unit, EXO, NCT 127, Tae Yeon’s full album, Red Velvet, and the NCT China debut.
Second Teaser Release, NCT Dream Confirms Comeback Date
NCT Dream, the third sub-unit of the NCT boy band made by SM Entertainment, confirmed the date of their comeback. On Thursday (16/8/18) at 10:00 KST or around 08:00 WIB, SM Entertainment released a second teaser via the official Twitter account of the agency, @SMTOWNGLOBAL. In the teaser photo, seven people appear in all-white costumes with a touch of blue, red, and gray. Along with the teaser, SM Entertainment announced that Mark CS will front the release of their second mini-album on September 3rd. The album is titled We Go Up, contains six tracks, including the “Go Up” song as the title song. NCTzen (designation for NCT fans) can pre-order the album, starting August 16th, 2018. Of this album, fans can expect far more impressive appearances from Mark, Renjun, Jaemin, Haechan, Jeno, Chenle, and Jisung. According to Soompi, “Go Up,” the title song of the album, brought back the urban genre of hip-hop. Interestingly, this comeback marks Jaemin’s return to the NCT Dream unit. As is known, as the main member of NCT Dream, he had been absent for several promotional periods due to illness. We Go Up is NCT Dream’s second mini-album. Their first project was We Young with a title song of the same title. Even though this comeback simply marks their second mini-album, Mark CS has been quite active in promoting a number of their singles, such as “Chewing Gum” and “My First and Last.”
NCT Dream Is More Passionate About Their New Concept
NCT Dream began the comeback of the youngest NCT band in the last months of 2018. Unlike the previous one, they tried a new concept for the release of their latest song titled “We Go Up,” on Thursday (08/30). Slowly altering their image into children, NCT Dream had previously been able to perform with the dark bad boy concept for the song “Go.” Then now, for the song “We Go Up” they appear more relaxed and cheerful, and full of color but still showing the teen side of their adult life. There are times when they appear neat in a uniform, and in a sporty version when exercising. Some members even try different hair colors than usual. In the music video, they show a portrait of freedom as a teenager by playing, exercising, and traveling together. Not to forget the compact and energetic dance movements shown by Mark CS.
We Go Up is Mark’s Last Album with NCT Dream
NCT Dream has just made a comeback with their second mini-album on September 3rd, 2018. Four days before it was officially launched, SM Entertainment released a music video of the title song of this album, “We Go Up.” Unfortunately, the We Go Up album also marks the last project Mark Lee does as a member of NCT Dream. NCT Dream is one of the sub-units of the NCT K-Pop group consisting of Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jisung, Jaemin, and Mark. The Idol shade group from SM Entertainment contains members with teenagers who are still in school. Their comeback this time will mark the last moments we can see Mark performing with the other NCT Dream members. This is because this Canadian-born guy, with a date of birth on August 2nd, 1999, has stepped on the prescribed age limit of being a member of NCT Dream, which is 19 years old. Their title song on this album, “We Go Up,” was created by singer and songwriter Bizzi, and Mark who also contributed to the making of the lyrics. This song is of the urban hip-hop genre, with retro nuances combined with rap and catchy vocals. The lyrics of this song describe the wishes of NCT Dream members to gain new experiences and move forward. In the “We Go Up” music video we can also see how NCT Dream members play together wearing uniforms and are freely enjoying the summer. The choreography featured in this music video is equally cool, you know! In addition to the song “We Go Up,” there are also six other songs, including “Dear Dream,” which are special songs to celebrate Mark’s graduation from NCT Dream. This song with emotional lyrics is written directly by Mark, Jeno, Jaemin, and Jisung. The members expressed their sincere feelings for each other through the lyrics in this “Dear Dream” song.
