‘Prince of Vietnam’, 5urprise’s Kang Tae-Oh, is South Korean pop singer/songwriter who rose to fame as a member of the K-pop outfit 5urprise. With 5urprise he released the 2014 single From My Heart and the 2016 single Shake it Up. 5urprise was founded in September 2013 by the talent agency Fantagio. He and Seo Kang-joon were both members of the K-pop group 5urprise.

Kang Tae-oh amassed a large following in Vietnam after playing Lee Jun-su, a talented K-pop star in the Forever Young series that was screened on VTV3 in 2014. Co-produced by Vietnam Television’s (VTV) Film Centre and South Korea’s CJ E&M Pictures, Forever Young earned the highest ratings among programmes aired at the same time.
