In 2007, Lee Ha-na was cast in her first lead role in Merry Mary as Hwang Me-ri. Her co-stars in the drama were Ji Hyun-woo and Lee Min-woo. The story was about a peculiar romance between a mediocre singer and a failed novelist. In the same year, she made her big-screen debut in Le Grand Chef as Jin-su, a pretty and energetic reporter. The drama was based on manhwa ‘Sikgaek’ by Huh Young-man about two chefs competing for the title of heir to the last Royal Chef of the Joseon Dynasty. Lee Ha-na also acted in Women of The Sun (2008) where she played a dark character which wreaked revenge to her older adopted sister, who abandoned her when she was a five-year-old child at a train station out of jealousy, Triple (2009) where she acted as a figure skating coach, and High School King of Savvy (2014) where she acted as a temp with an odd personality. In 2017, Lee Ha-na starred in OCN’s drama Voice, as a policewoman with an enhanced sense of hearing. The drama was a big hit, and recorded as the highest rated dramas in Korean cable television history. However, due to the excessive violence shown in the drama, OCN changed the viewing rating from 15+ to 19+ in order to make the story as realistic as possible.
