Many fans said that Baek Hae-jin was lucky to marry him because even though he is older than her, he has a charming aura. From this marriage, they had a daughter, Park Seung-chae. In the first season of My Lawyer Mr Jo, also called Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul-ho, it gained a positive response from the audience, showed by 12%-17% as the average rating and becoming the top ten high rating dramas in 2016. Not only the positive feedback from the audience, the actors and the actresses also had some awards and nominations from this drama. This situation made the drama even more popular. Summary of the First Season
Jo Deul-ho (Park Shin-yang) was a successful prosecutor who had been known as a merciless person. He also had a bright future as he was the son-in-law of the CEO of the largest law firm in South Korea. But, his life changed 180 degrees when he tried to reveal the corruption in the Korean prosecutor’s office which involved CEO Jung. He lost everything he had. Jo Deul-ho was accused of accepting bribes and was fired from his job. He also divorced his wife and soon became a homeless person. After three years as a homeless man and being ignore by everybody, he met his brother from the orphanage, Kang Il-go, who was being accused of being the perpetrator in a factory fire case. In this reunion, Jo Deul-ho finds out that Michael Jung, son of CEO Jung, was the real perpetrator. Therefore, he got his spirit back to defend the truth and build a small neighborhood law office.
