New’s Debut with The Boyz
New debuted with The Boyz on December 6, 2017. He made his debut with the group with the release of their first extended play called The First with the lead single “Boy.” The Boyz originally consisted of twelve members, but in 2019, a member departed from the group, making The Boyz consist of eleven members.New is in charge of the group’s main vocals along with Sangyeon and Kevin. They are mainly responsible for major high-pitched ad-libs. New’s enthusiasm for music is obvious, as shown by his description of himself as a singing boy. He listens to songs recommended by fans just like himself who love listening to music.
