His ideal type of woman is someone who is kind and has a bright personality. Because of his good-looking face, the nickname Lady Killer was given to him. Yanan became a Cube Entertainment trainee after he joined an audition in China. He speaks both Chinese and Korean He also has the ability to play the erhu, a Chinese traditional instrument. He has been playing it for almost 10 years. He participated on a Korean-Chinese TV show called The Collaboration in 2018. Yanan made his modeling debut through Seoul Fashion Week in 2018 with E’Dawn (one of the former members of Pentagon). He is afraid of amusement park rides. He used to be a rapper when he was starting out but because he has such a beautiful voice, the agency encouraged him to focus on becoming a vocalist. He’s the only child in his family. Among all of Pentagon’s members, Yanan had the shortest training time. He was really loved by Christiano Ronaldo, and that’s why the other members call him Shanghai Ronaldo.
