Partners in Variety Shows
In 2013, to promote their repackaged album XOXO, with the title track Growl, EXO became guests on MBC’s Weekly Idol for the second time. During the program, the members were asked to dance a girl-group dance. Suho is known to like dancing to SISTAR’s songs. He partnered with Xiumin and they danced to Give It To Me. The audience was impressed by the smoothness of their dance cover.
In 2014, EXO had a variety show that aired on Mnet, titled EXO 90:2014. In one of the episodes, the members are gathered and dance to their own song. Xiumin and Suho happen to be partners and danced to the song Overdose together.
In 2018, EXO came to make an appearance on JTBC’s variety show Knowing Brothers for the second time. Xiumin confessed that he doesn’t have any friends other than his fellow EXO members, then Heechul said that both Suho and Xiumin are outsiders (aren’t sociable so they don’t have many friends). Suho replies that he and Xiumin had asked the producer to reduce their broadcast footage because he is a serious person. When asked why he didn’t like the attention, Suho said it was so the other group members could get more screen time. However, both Suho and Xiumin were roasted by Heechul who said that for someone who doesn’t like attention, they turn out to stand in the center. His quip made everyone laugh.
Concerts
Not only on variety shows, but their moments can also be found in their concerts, too. In their EXO’luXion World Tour, the group performed their song Playboy. For the chorus, they would be paired and do the partner dance. It was rather a sensual dance, so the fans went crazy over it. Suho and Xiumin were partnered for this performance and we can’t get enough of their interactions!
In the same world tour, when they visited Osaka, there was a moment when Sehun made Xiumin hug Suho’s back and pretend to kiss his cheek. However, Xiumin played along and brought his lips closer to Suho’s cheek while Suho tried to hold it in.
In another concert, Sehun brought Xiumin face to face with Suho. He then pushed their heads closer but both Xiumin and Suho tried to resist it so hard. Unfortunately, before they could get any closer, the show had to continue and Sehun had to stop. Still, thanks to this evil maknae for making this precious moment happen!
On April 14, 2015, they did a fan-signing event in Jeju. The weather was so cold and windy that Xiumin started shivering and tried to hold it. However, Suho, who stood beside him, noticed and immediately hugged him from behind to keep him warm. Even though it lasted only for a few minutes, it lasts forever for us who have seen it.
EXO’s Official Book (EXO-L Japan Magazine)
EXO has released EXO Official Book, known as EXO-L Japan Magazine, up to 9 volumes. It contains exclusive interviews with EXO members about their likes/dislikes, relationships with other members, music, and many other topics including fun facts. In Volume 6, when asked about their favorite gift from the members, Xiumin answered that he liked the ice cream cake from Suho. He also said, the same as Baekhyun and D.O, that Suho is the most hard-working member inthe group. Later on, he and other members (except Kai and Chen) also said that Suho is the most anxious one. In Volume 9, there is a page labeled “About Your Buddy”, and the members were paired to answer some questions about each other. Sense of Humour Level
Suho is known for his bad dad jokes, and most of the members have had enough of it. However, Xiumin actually finds Suho a funny person. The members acknowledge that both of their hyungs have the same sense of humor, which nobody but themselves understand. In 2016, during their EXOrdium concert, Xiumin saw Suho suddenly stand up and dust off his butt to clean it. Xiumin thought Suho wanted to dance just like the other members behind him. After that, Xiumin couldn’t stop laughing, to the point that he couldn’t sing his part. Chen approached him and seemed to ask him why, then he explained. It confused Sehun, who sat beside Chen, and asked Chen, too, since Xiumin didn’t sing.
In EXO’s own variety show, Travel Around the World on EXO’s Ladder, they were gathered around to start a game, when Xiumin made a dad joke. It started from Chanyeol, who wanted to clarify the punishment for the loser of the ladder game. He said, “So is it where the one team eats and the other doesn’t? That’s cruel!” Then, suddenly, a voice comes from Xiumin, who sings an old tune with the same words that Chanyeol used, “That’s cruel. Cruel!” He was actually singing So Chan-hwee’s song Tears as a joke, but Chanyeol and Kai just froze. D.O opened his eyes wider and Chen seemed like he didn’t want to care. Before Xiumin stopped singing, Chanyeol just put an end to it by asking about the game, followed by the other, uninterested members. However, at the edge of the right side, there is someone who actually laughs, and that’s none other than Suho, the original dad-joke maker. The clip starts from 3:04 to 3:29.
Well, at least they can make jokes and have a good laugh with each other.
Instagram Updates

Becoming Narrators of A Travel Documentary
In 2017, Xiumin and Suho were chosen to become narrators for the travel documentary Korea From Above. They would introduce Korea, along with its tourist spots. The documentary was aired for a month starting from April 3, 2017, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on Naver TV and Naver Web. Check out the teaser and behind the scene video below!
Playing Futsal Together
On December 20, 2018, it was confirmed that Suho and Xiumin would appear on Lee Soo-geun’s channel to play futsal (soccer with fewer players and slightly different rules) with him. The video was released later, in the middle of January. Both the hyung line confessed that it was their first time playing since their debut. While they were playing, Suho and Xiumin showed off their skill and teamwork. Check them out in this video with English subs, below!
Photoshoots At The Same Time
In March, 2019, both Suho and Xiumin both did a magazine photoshoot and interview individually. Even though they were solo pictorials, the hyung line never left their members out. Xiumin posed for Harper’s Bazaar, which might be his last photoshoot before he enlisted. According to Allkpop, in his interview, Xiumin said that it gives him strength whenever he thinks about the people around him and the fans who cherish him. He said that because he finds the need to always improve, he has no choice but to work hard. He revealed that the members, who he is closest with, and the managers have influenced him the most. Even though it may be part of their work, he says that it wouldn’t be possible without the love for one another. “When I see that side of us, I feel grateful for that and it makes me think that I should do better,” he added. According to Soompi, in his interview, Suho stated clearly that the core of his life is EXO. He went on, saying that even though he was doing some musicals and movies, as he has ambition for acting, he cannot change the fact that he is an EXO member. He thought that it was due to his role as EXO’s Suho that he gets chances to get invited to overseas fashion events or that people recognize him. “That’s why I can’t help but have EXO at the center of my life,” he added.
