Synopsis Mirror of the Witch tells the story of a son of a great royal concubine named Heo Jun played by actor Yoon Shi-yoon. Heo Jun’s mother was a concubine of the nobleman but Heo Jun’s stepbrothers were not happy with their arrival in his new family. They also made Heo Jun’s mother as if only a slave in her house. Kim Sae-ron’s first acting role was in the 2009 film A Brand New Life, directed by the French-Korean filmmaker Ounie Lecomte and loosely based on her life. Kim Sae-ron played the main character, a nine-year-old girl named Jin-hee, who is abandoned by her father at an orphanage after he remarries, and is later adopted by a French couple. Kim attended the Cannes Film Festival when the film was shown there in a special screening, becoming the youngest actress to be invited to the festival. She then co-starred with Won Bin in The Man From Nowhere, which was the highest-grossing film in South Korea in 2010. She played Jung So-mi, the daughter of a heroin addict who is kidnapped by an organized crime ring. A Brand New Life
A Brand New Life is a South Korean movie which aired in 2009. The movie is the debut feature of the director Ounie Lecomte, who directed and wrote this movie. Loosely based on Lecomte’s own experience, A Brand New Life is set in Seoul in 1975, and is about a girl who is left in a Catholic orphanage by her father, and her struggle to adjust to her new life. Synopsis This film tells the story of a little girl named Jin Hee who was deliberately left in the orphanage by her father. Jin Hee who was angry to her father, so it was made her a quiet figure. But Sook Hee’s figure made her return to find her smile that was lost. They are also friends, one day Sook Hee was adopted by a family, and it made Jin Hee sad again.
