Mashiho came from Tokyo, Japan. Mashiho is the second revealed member in the Magnum unit. Mashiho underwent training for 5 years. According to Mashiho, he has a cute face. Mashiho is left-handed. Mashiho owns a dog named Kotesu in Japan. Shiho, Mamoming, and Mashi are some of his nicknames. Mashiho’s Official Debut with Treasure

Mashiho was among the first YG Japan trainees alongside Keita. When YG Entertainment’s Japanese branch opened, he was in his second year of junior high school, and he decided to join YG Entertainment in 2013.In 2018, he joined the survival program YG Treasure Box. The survival program officially started on November 16, 2018, to January 18, 2019, and was attended by 29 trainees whose ages were between 14 and 19 years to compete to debut in a group called Treasure. He was only 18 years old, and he greeted fans with his broken Korean.Unfortunately, he was not selected for the main group of the show. But, on January 29, 2019, YG Entertainment released a statement that they would be debuting a second line-up group from the show called Magnum with Mashiho as part of the line-up.Initially, YG Entertainment wanted the group to be divided into 2 groups named Treasure (7 members) and Magnum (6 members) which was announced during YG Treasure Box. Together, they were a part of the group TREASURE13 (stands for 13 members) as a whole. After some consideration, YG Entertainment decided to debut the groups under one name, Treasure (after 1 member’s departure on December 31, 2019).The second announcement stated that their debut was slightly delayed. The group’s final line-up was Mashiho, Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Yoonbin, Junkyu, Jaehyuk, Asahi, Yedam, Doyoung, Haruto, Jeong-woo, and Junghwan.On January 6, 2020, YG Entertainment made three new announcements regarding the new boy group and said that the group would debut in 2020. Treasure began to release individual teasers of its members in February 2020. Mashiho graced the teasers with his clean and composed look under a cold blue tone.After waiting for more than a year, Treasure finally officially debuted on August 7, 2020, by releasing their debut single titled The First Step: Chapter One and the song “Boy.”Within the same year of their debut, the group was called “Global Super Rookies” and even reach Billboard’s Social 50, as expected from YG Entertainment.
