Story of “Tuk Tok”

Inspired from the teaser video of the survival show Sixteen where Twice’s members were picked before officially debuting as Twice, “Tuk Tok” is a dance-pop song where there are some elements of soul and trap. The lyrics of “Tuk Tok” are about a very beautiful woman who is liked by many people, but the number of people who are jealous and do not like her is also a lot. However, she does not really care and ignores them all because there is already one man who fills her heart and that is the only man she wants for herself. This song also has another title in Korean, “툭하면 톡,” pronounced as “tukhamyeon tok” which in English can be translated to “Ready To Talk.”The lyrics of “Tuk Tok” were written by Kim Min-ji together alongside Choi Jin-suk, Ronald “AV” Ndlovu, Emmanuel Jimenez, Courtney Woolsey, and Stacy Hebert who were in charge of composing the music. Dsign Music was the one that did the arrangement for this song.
