#Twice2 is Twice’s second compilation album. This album was released in Japan on March 6, 2019, through Warner Music Japan. The second compilation album has some tracks in Japanese and in Korean. There are five Japanese tracks and five Korean tracks. This compilation album has two lead singles, and both of these lead singles are in Japanese. The rest of the tracks are served as sidetracks.The lead singles from #Twice2 are the Japanese versions of “Likey” and “What Is Love?” Meanwhile, the eight sidetracks on #Twice2 are the Japanese versions of “Heart Shaker,” “Dance the Night Away,” “Yes or Yes,” and the initial versions in Korean for all of these tracks (“Likey,” “Heart Shaker,” “What Is Love?,” “Dance the Night Away,” and “Yes or Yes”).
Story Behind #Twice2 by Twice
The first official news about this compilation album was first announced by Twice’s South Korean agency, JYP Entertainment. The agency told Once in January 2019 that Twice would release their next compilation album. The Japanese compilation album release day would be on March 6, 2019. Several days later, JYP Entertainment announced that there would be #Dreamday, the Twice Dome Tour in 2019. This #Dreamday concert would be done in March 2019, too.The #Twice2 album has two Japanese lead singles. Those lead singles (the Japanese versions of “Likey” and “What Is Love?”) were both released as pre-release singles. There are also music videos for both of these singles. Those music videos were unveiled on the same day as the pre-release day, which was on January 10 for “Likey” and February 7 for “What Is Love?”After the pre-release of the Japanese version of “What Is Love,” Warner Music Japan released a spoiler video. The spoiler video was released on February 13. After a while, on March 6, #Twice2 was officially released. On that day, Warner Music Japan released both the physical and digital versions of the compilation album. As announced before, Twice would hold the #Dreamday concert in March 2019. This dome tour would be the very first Twice tour to promote the #Twice2 compilation album.

The lyric writers and the producers of these two lead singles were Black Eyed Pilseung, Jeon Goon, Wakisaka Mayu, Park Jinyoung, Risa Horie, and Min Lee from Collapsedone. The other tracks, the eight sidetracks, involved many other composers and arrangers such as David Amber, Wheesung, Anne Judith Stokke Wik, Jonatan Gusmark, Ludvig Evers, Galactika, Sim Eunjee, and Matsumoto Yuka.
