WEi’s Jang Dae-hyun’s Participation in Produce 101
Produce 101 Season 2 marked Daehyeon’s first step in the pursuit of his dream to become a K-Pop idol. He joined the survival show as a trainee representative of OUI Entertainment. Daehyeon also made various performances during the show including both team and individual performances. WEi’s Daehyeon’s Debut with RAINZ
Right after Produce 101 Season 2, Daehyeon made his debut as a member of the project group RAINZ from the show and managed under KISS Entertainment. The group consisted of seven members including Daehyeon and officially debuted on October 12th, 2017, by releasing the first mini-album Sunshine with “Juliette” as its title track!Following the success of Sunshine, RAINZ also released the second mini-album Shake You Up with the lead single “Turn It Up” on January 23rd, 2018. However, RAINZ officially disbanded on October 28th, 2018, due to their year-long contract expiring. RAINZ’s last project before their disbandment was marked by the group’s activities in Japan.
Re-debut as a Member of WEi
Daehyeon continued his activity as a K-Pop idol by re-debuting as a member of WEi on October 5th, 2020! Daehyeon joined the line-up along with Donghan, Yohan, Yongha, Seokhwa, and Junseo and they released their first mini-album Identity: First Sight with the lead single “Twilight” that marks WEi’s first group project!In the group, Daehyeon is in charge of the group’s leader position which made him draw a lot of attention! Not only that, but Daehyeon also took part as the lyricist of the single “Fuze” that was included on Identity: First Sight as well.After the first mini-album, Wei released the second one titled Identity: Challenge on February 24th, 2021, with “All or Nothing” as the title track. August 24th, 2019, marked Jang Dae-hyeon’s solo debut! He released a single album titled Feel Good. The album is filled with a mixture of Hip-Hop and Rap which emphasizes Daehyeon’s amazing rapping skills. For its concept, Daehyeon appeared with cheerful and bright colors that made him look as adorable as ever!The single album contains the lead single “Feel Good” and an additional single “So”.
