B1A4’s Latest Comeback
B1A4 had their latest comeback with their seventh EP, called Rollin. It also became one of the single tracks along with the music video, and was released on September 25th, 2017. It’s been almost two years since their latest comeback and we do miss them, right? Rollin was written by Baro and produced by Jinyoung. The single was kind of a pop-rock tune with electronic elements, which was very refreshing! Rollin consisted of six songs, such as Rollin, You Need Me, Love Emotion, Smile Mask, Call Me, and Like a Child. Previously, WM Entertainment also released teasers both in image and video formats. How popular did the single get? Since the first time it was released, Rollin gained a lot of attention from people and entering the music charts, such as reaching #4 on the Billboard chart! It reached #1 in Korea and #13 on the Japanese music chart. The album Rollin, as a whole, also appeared in the top 10 albums on the World Album charts.
Jinyoung and Baro Leaving WM Entertainment and Disbandment Rumors
It’s hard for us to hear the news about some of the group members departure when, at the same time, we missed them so bad. The unpleasant news came up after the group had been together for about seven years, when Jinyoung and Baro decided not to renew their contracts with WM Entertainment, which also meant that they left the group in June, 2018. Jinyoung and Baro were about to start solo careers, whether it was as a solo singer or by starting acting activities. B1A4 was left with three remaining member, Gongchang, CNU, and Sandeul. After Jinyoung and Baro’s departure, WM Entertainment revealed that B1A4 would remain the same with Gongchang, CNU and Sandeul, meanwhile they were also discussing future plans. People started to wonder if B1A4 would be disbanded. The answer is not! Even though Jinyoung and Baro left the group, B1A4’s activities remained the same, with the only difference being the number of members. The group would still continue its career with Gongchang, NCU, and Sandeul. Through B1A4’s fan cafe, Sandeul revealed his thoughts about B1A4’s future. Even though he apologized to the fans because he wouldn’t be able to gave them certain answers about B1A4’s future, he promised the fans that if it’s there’s something new about B1A4, BANAs (their fandom name) would be the ones who heard it as soon as possible. Currently, the group has taking a hiatus of indefinite length. All we can do now is wait for any upcoming news about future, and hope that it turns out as well as we expected for B1A4!
