Jo Jung-suk, as one of the most popular actors in South Korea, has appeared in SBS’ Running Man several times with different partners to accompany him on the show.
Jo Jung-suk’s First Appearance on Running Man
Jo Jung-suk first came to Running Man along with his co-star from the Korean movie My Love, My Bride in 2014, Shin Min-ah. With the concept of the wedding, Jo Jung-suk and Shin Min-ah took a role in a group with the Running Man member.
The show took place on Korea Job World, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do. The team was divided into Bride’s Family Team (Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Suk-jin, Lee Kwang-soo, Song Ji-hyo, Shin Min-aa) and Groom’s Family Team (Gary, Haha, Kim Jong-kook, Jo Jung-suk) with the winning condition being to collect the lottery money. The lead of Bride’s family was Shin Min-ah, while the lead of the Groom’s family was Gary. At the end of the episode, the Groom’s family team won. Groom Gary chose to share the money with bride Shin Min-a and the pair also received a couple’s rings.
Jo Jung-suk’s Second Appearance on Running Man
On November 27th, 2017, the 327th episode of SBS’ variety show Running Man adopted the theme “bromance house” in relation to Jo Jung-suk and EXO’s D.O’s movie My Annoying Brother. The movie itself was released on November 24th reaching 137 thousand views the very same day.
Jo Jung-suk and D.O were guests on Running Man following the movie’s release. They were given various missions by the producer, including dancing, singing, juggling, and many more. Check out their excitement during the games! Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Jung-suk were on the same team. They danced, spoke, and demonstrated their ability in missions and showed different characters from their dramas. Because Jo Jung-suk has a background as a singer, he also sang a song on Running Man. Not wanting to lose to Jo Jung-suk, Lee Kwang-soo’s “brother” D.O was very focused on playing the games. He also got into a close friendship with Lee Kwang-soo by playing “dancing mosquitoes” together. This episode took place on Seomun Market, Jung-gu, Daegu. The groups were divided into Yoo Jae-suk & Jo Jung-suk, Haha & Song Ji-hyo, Ji Suk-jin & Kim Jong-kook, Lee Kwang-soo & D.O. The winning condition of the show was to avoid the penalty cards. At the end of the show, Yoo Jae-suk & Jo Jung-suk, Ji Suk-jin & Kim Jong-kook, Lee Kwang-soo & D.O. won. Haha & Song Ji-hyo paid for all the food the staff ate with their own money.
